the 'post your crystal' thread

I've never had a crystal before.. How would I go about finding one?

I'd suggest finding a shop that sells minerals and stones. It doesn't have to be a "new age" type shop, I have actually found some really nice crystals in bead stores. I would suggest shopping for them in person rather than online so you can see and feel the crystal. When I shop for crystals I find myself drawn to certain stones and the way they feel in my hand.
