I think we've all experienced emotional suffering in our lives - it's an open wound. Every time something negative happens in our world or in our personal lives, we unconsciously (or consciously) hit this wound, thus re-opening the wound. And so when we heal our wounds, the negativity of the world could become less painful.
You are (to me) a caring, compassionate, sensitive, and empathic person with a spark of fire - protective of self/others when you sense injustice occurring. I kind of thought, too, that you took on the responsible-for-the world/protector role.
