I will be driving in traffic to or from work and think someone isn't driving fast enough or is passing me too quickly or cut me off slightly and become angry. Or I will be playing a competitive video game that I have been playing for a long time and become frustrated and start trying to 'correct' a team mate's playing style.
I thought I had moved past this behavior many months ago, yet it is rearing it's ugly head again. Immediately afterwards, I have no idea why I have such a strong reaction, then laugh it off and try to do a little 'karmic damage control' by verbally or mentally apologizing to the individual(s) and forgiving myself/them if they responded in anger as well. I also visualize myself and them as the Creator interacting with Itself.
Don't be too hard on yourself Parsons. I don't think any of us can totally let go of anger or frustration and still function in life. I still get angry on the highways. Who wouldn't in certain situations? And sometimes, I totally blow my cool there. After I've settled down, I'll usually aknowledge to myself and whomever else cares..."well, that could have been handled better".
You're trying...no one can ask more.
