    Um, I would guess that your heavy weight was related to the subliminals:

    Wasn't paying attention to part 1, but once I caught the 'jist' of the story started paying attention:

    Here they are:

    1. It's the end of the earth.
    2. Get ready a gun.
    3. I want to be famous.
    4. I want to grab a gun and shoot someone.
    5. Before it's all over.

    It was a good movie, Very artfully done.

    But, the tone combined with the subliminals make this fairly standard Earth STS material. (likely intentionally)
