To me, the idea of asking for help seems somewhat of a dichotomy. If I consciously want help, but my spirit or unconscious or higher self might not think it in my best interest, then that might be against free will.
So is free will just conscious? If we say yes to something consciously, maybe deeper inside something is saying no. This could explain why some hold onto diseases and such.
So I could desperately with all my heart ask for help, and maybe some part of me that I do not see/feel/know is not allowing that.
