In the Course in Miracles these are known as "attack thoughts"; here specifically ones directed towards the self. But as there is no separation between self and other-self, self-judgement inevitably leads to the levelling of judgement against others.

my personal approach to this issue is based on understanding the issue at hand; ie, the parameters. Then there was the realisation that the 3d mind is incapable of grasping the full data of my experience (ie, large parts of the unconscious mind are inaccessible to the waking self), so any judgements that I would make would be incomplete or erroneous anyway lol.
I usually tune into that critical aspect of self and see who's "voice" or perspective I've internalized (like my mother's lol). Not to blame them... to heal internal relationships within self, rather than external relationships with others. When that healing work is engaged, seems like external relationships with critical others improve/heal, too. It's sometimes interesting to see how what is understood as self-criticism and self-judgment is the self's way of protecting and encouraging growth... tho we could interpret it as negative. When that internal voice softens, it's actually very helpful!
