I would never say sending love to *anyone* is useless. Even if you send love to an entity and they choose to completely reject it, you are still increasing the love in your own heart and getting yourself in a better state of mind. In my opinion, it never hurts to keep love at the forefront when going through these types of trials. There is no such thing as a waste of love. Love is infinite, so I don't think we've got to worry about running out.
