Likes given and likes received

Sorry to bring this thread back, but there is a feeling that I can't shake off. I cannot shake the feeling that using the "likes" system is a form of judgement. I don't want any member to feel left out in a discussion and if I do not like the content of a post, I would like the poster to feel accepted and loved anyway. I have no way of doing this properly.

So please note all fellow other selves that I will not be using this system anymore. I know this is not the first time I do this, but I believe my decision is pretty much crystallized now.
