I don't necessarily agree that most people don't really know why they convert to vegetarianism. Most are aware of basic research and many are health and ecologically aware. And even if people simply mimick others' behaviour, that's fine too because they will also benfit from the change and eventually realize the finer points of a plant-based diet.
I agree with this. A meat eater can become enlightened (but he won't be a meat eater for long...)
I'm happy to see that we are closer in thought than I previously suspected. You're an intelligent person and it would be great to have you on 'our' side....
