I told this story to my daughter tonight as a bed time story. When I finished, she looked at me with her big, child eyes, and said: "Oh! They are like Ra!"

Couple of months ago, I went on a vacation together with her, for a week. At the evenings we used to talk a lot, while dining out at the restaurants. And at the end of that week, when we were heading back to our hotel one night, she told me: "Mom, I love to listen to the stories about Ra." I asked her why, and she replied: "Because it reminds me about the heart and love"... Heart

Which stories do you read? Or do just tell her stories from what you know? Is there a Ra children's book?

    Many thanks!

Usually I read fairytales from a book by HC Andersen. But ha! Wish there would be a children's book called "Tales from the Stars, or Confederation" :p

Tonight I told her that anthropologist story though, and the other one about a golden star who saw the Earth and the sorrow, and desired to help. So it fell down to Earth, and when it did, this star forgot about what it was supposed to do, but it had two wings on the back. So this star started a journey walking the Earth, and each time it did something selfish or made others sad, the wings at its back shrunk, but each time it did what it came here to do, and that is to help people, they growed bigger. =)

But when we were at that vacation, I told her many stories about extraterrestrials, and Confederation, and how they are here to help us, and that sometimes they talk to us in our hearts and our minds. And that some people can hear their thoughts. So I told her about Ra, and that there was one girl once who could talk their thoughts, so there are books about what Ra said. But that they are here, with us, even if they can't make themselves visible, etc. Stuff like that. =)

Could that have been the 'morning star' or in other societies the 'evening star'?

Quote:I AM You, that part of you who is and knows… that part of you who says I AM and is I AM…
I AM the innermost part of you that sits within, and calmly waits and watches, knowing neither time nor space…

I have been within always, deep within your heart.

Quote:When I say "I am," I do not mean a separate entity with a body as its nucleus. I mean the totality of being, the ocean of consciousness, the entire universe of all that is and knows.

    Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj

Quote:This pure Mind, the source of everything,
Shines forever and on all with the brilliance of its own perfection.
But the people of the world do not awake to it,
Regarding only that which sees, hears, feels and knows as mind,
Blinded by their own sight, hearing, feeling and knowing,
They do not perceive the spectral brilliance of the source of all substance.

Well, I certainly don't subscribe 100% to that theory but found it interesting.

For me a show that IMO is more about the Law of One/The Game of Life/Duality than most is the show "Lost".

What about you? What show or shows do you watch out of curiosity?

When you get to a certain degree of awareness, tv can provide excellent catalyst (at least for me). I don't have tv at home, but at a friend's I noticed sometimes the commercials seem to reveal something about my spiritual state as it were. I've noticed a lot more dog commericals lately, which is something I resonate with.

I watched a movie last night that had an anthopomorphized dinosaur that had excellent mannerisms and spoke english. They talked about a 1/2 man 1/2 dinosaur being. Something I resonate with in my interest in furries. The movie was called Dinotopia. It had excellent lessons in it, such as not letting life pass you by.

Quote:He wanted every form, for He wanted to show Himself; as a magician He appears in many forms, He masters hundreds of thousands of powers. He is those powers; those millions of powers. He is Spirit; without antecedent, without precedent, without inside, without outside; omnipresent, omniscient. Self is Spirit. That is revelation.

    - Brian Hodgkinson, The Essence of Vedanta

Quote:The Self is the Spirit. This Spirit resides in the heart of every human being and is in a witness-like state. The Spirit is the projection of God Almighty, while the Kundalini is the projection of the power of God, of His desire which is the Primordial Mother, or you can call it Adi Shakti, Holy Ghost or Athena. So the Kundalini is the projection of the Holy Ghost, while the Spirit is the projection of God Almighty. The All-pervading Power of love is the power of the Primordial Mother, which creates and evolves, and does all the living work.

    - Shri Mataji Nirmal Devi

Quote:Have no doubt about the fact that you are not other than the consciousness which is the Self illuminating the modifications of the mind.

    - Vakyavritti of Sri Sankaracharya

Quote:"A full and durable spiritual path should, first and foremost, improve the quality of our daily lives; for as our inner life grows in clarity and purpose our relationship to our work, friends and family become fuller and more fruitful. Daily life is a faithful and thorough guide, testing and trying our spiritual progress every moment. The work is to apply the eternal wisdom to our day-to-day existence, that we can find peace in the transcendent and unchanging. Theosis is a Greek word rich in meaning. It was a term used by the desert fathers over the centuries, and more recently by the Greek-Cypriot mystic and healer, Stylianos Atteshlis, known as Daskalos. Theosis is translated as 'deification' or 'to become one with the divine'. Daskalos spoke of it as a state akin to 'enlightenment' and 'self realization'. Our gradual and inevitable entry into theosis is both the promise and the purpose that we were given in Eden; that we would 'be as gods, knowing good and evil' (cf. Gen. 3:5). Theosis is a process of the ever-increasing individuation of the self, culminating in the 'I AM I' consciousness which Jesus of Nazareth fully embodied and imbued. In the mystical Christian tradition the path to theosis is daily life (work, family and friends), through which the soul reflects itself in Creation that it may know itself in all its ways. And the vehicle for this reflection, for the awakening of the self, is the Human Form (as body, thought and emotion)."

Every Warrior of the Light has felt afraid of going into battle.

Every Warrior of the Light has, at some time in the past, lied or betrayed someone.

Every Warrior of the Light has trodden a path that was not his.

Every Warrior of the Light has suffered for the most trivial of reasons. Every Warrior of the Light has, at least once, believed he was not a Warrior of the Light.

Every Warrior of the Light has failed in his spiritual duties.

Every Warrior of the Light has said 'yes' when he wanted to say 'no.'

Every Warrior of the Light has hurt someone he loved.

That is why he is a Warrior of the Light, because he has been through all this and yet has never lost hope of being better than he is.

~ Paulo Coelho Quotes from Warrior of the Light

"We talk to ourselves incessantly about our world. In fact we maintain our world with our internal talk. And whenever we finish talking to ourselves about our world, the world is always as it should be. We renew it, we rekindle it with life, we uphold it with our internal talk. Not only that, but we also choose our paths as we talk to ourselves. Thus we repeat the same choices over and over until the day we die, because we keep on repeating the same internal talk over and over until the day we die. A warrior is aware of this and strives to stop his internal talk."

"The power of the group goes up much faster than the number of people. I've said elsewhere it can be compared to a laser. Ordinary light is called 'incoherent,' which means that it is going in all sorts of directions, and the light waves are not in phase with each other so they don't build up. But a laser produces a avery intense beam which is coherent. The light waves build up strength because they are all going in the same direction.

"Now, you could say that our ordinary thought in society is incoherent. It is going in all sorts of directions, with thoughts conflicting and canceling each other out. But if people were to think together in a coherent way, it would have tremendous power."

    David Bohm, Physicist (quantum)

This seems like a good description of what a mind/body/spirit complex like Ra could achieve easily, or perhaps exists in this way consistently. The inference is that we can do it too, but for us it would take organizing it and making it happen. Then there is the idea also, that as society gels in its beliefs, those beliefs hold sway, and can work as a mechanism for change (evolution) when enough individuals accept a new paradigm (hundredth monkey).

"The blessings of The Universe rain down upon you as you step into your new world. Be at peace knowing that you are loved and cared for more exquisitely than you ever imagined. Your angels and guides are beside you, offering assistance. You are being heard. Live in and from your heart my beloved, it is the New Time. ~ Creator" ~Jennifer Farley 5/10/12

Excerpts: "If I could take you by the hand and lead each of you personally to your final destination, I would. The truth is, you are leading yourselves. You are taking to heart the deep, deep wisdom spewing out from within yourselves, and taking it forward."

"Who are you? You are Divine beings, each with a uniqueness that will serve the World, and in doing so, you serve yourselves and light yourselves up like a Roman candle, ready for delivering even more Light to the World, to the Universes, to All That Is, until it is impossible to tell the difference between your Light and the Light of the great Central Sun."

    Excerpt:

Fill your well with love. It is time for clarity of purpose, fullness of heart and buckets of joy. This is how we create amazing. Self care is primary.

Love yourself. If that means paint your nails, take a walk, take a day or just take a break – do it. You will return replenished and the ripple effect of your light and your love will indeed change the world.

Love yourself without condition, for you are the chosen one. There is no one better for the task at hand than you. You are perfect where you stand.

You are the one you have been waiting for.
