Yes, although I think the key element in this case is manipulating events to "appear as being miraculous" so as to further impress elitism and specialness among those receiving the communication. As far as I am aware, archangels are more than happy to communicate with anybody who asks.

I was thinking more along the lines of archangel type beings from elsewhere.

From where?

For example Khamael and Gabriel deal with other universes than just ours. Then we have those that deal only with our universe.

Also of note, an Archangel is an emissary. Wouldn't this catch your attention?

I'm sure an "Archangel" would catch my attention. But if it were due to fancy fireworks and impressive displays of metaphysical power, I would question why they felt the need to get my attention in such an ostentatious way.
