Let me try a sample.... hmmmm... very similar to LOO terminology. But then again, all the spiritual understandings follow the same pattern... I will continue reading... Very interesting. It seems I've returned to the beginning of my circle. I've dipped into all my experiences and walkways since then and have come to my own conclusions that support the ideas that sparked my journey.

3DMonkey -
I talk to myself and answer myself, too! LOL - you're a gem. Like you, I have been revisiting many of the experiences and texts that have helped me along in my journey. The Ra material being one of those texts (first read book one around 1988). My review has led me to add new material to my learning process including Reiki and Qigong, and visiting Bring4th. I think we never stop learning. Light and love and learning!

Did you know if you take "juice of mugwort" (which means a tincture), and soak the blade of a sword in it, it will awaken the spirits within the sword and invoke its natural magic? Sup equipment enchantment...
11-11-2011, 03:03 PM
Azrael - why would you want to awaken the natural magic of a sword? Just curious if this might also work on my gardening tools. If so, where could I get some "juice of mugwort" to use, and would I need to perform some sort of ceremony?
11-11-2011, 03:14 PM
It can cause it to be a more efficient magical tool, as well as can potentially awaken other energetic abilities that have to do with the natural spirit of the metals. Yes, technically you can do this to awaken the spirits in any metal, so it would work the same for a gardening tool. It will open up the natural energies and it would be like clearing an electrical path, your energy will more ready flow through the tool from you and in to your work. Depending on the blade, it's also possible for there to be intelligence within a blade that can even be communicated with.
Um, you maaay be able to find a store with it, but I wouldn't count on it. You're best off to get some mugwort and to make the tincture yourself. (http://www.kcweb.com/herb/tincture.htm) This can include a ceremony if this is conducive to you in the sense of awakening and organizing the energy of the herb. You can also do a ceremony for the soaking of the blade, which you would probably keep soaking for a few hours at least (you don't want to do it for toooo long, just because you don't want to induce rust). Ceremonies, and rituals, are activities designed to focus the energies. All the tools involved in ceremonies do little on their own, they represent portions of the magician and they provide a focus for particular energy types as they are being expressed. For example, it can be challenging for an individual to internally manage masculine and feminine energies from the mind. However, if you signify a sword as the embodiment of the masculine energy, and the chalice as the feminine (for example), you can more easily differentiate between the two types of energy while doing the work.

Thank you, Azrael! My focus for the past three years has been on organic gardening, and I spend a great deal of time using/focusing my energy on growing herbs and vegetables and caring for my lawn and landscaping organically. I do this not just for the food (although the food from our garden makes up a large portion of our diet), but to set an example for the people in my community and show them that we don't need to poison the earth to sustain ourselves.
And I think we've sidetracked this thread about age - but hey, I'm 59, will be 60 next September 15th, so thank you for humoring me. I think I could learn a great deal from you, things that I haven't studied before. Love and light, Azrael!

That's great! A friend of mine is very well in tune with Gaia and he is big in to organic gardening, permaculture and such things. Meditating with your plants and resonating with their field, and as such sharing positive emotions with them, is supposed to be conducive to their growth. Also, there are a number of sound frequencies which may be played which are conducive to growth. My friend actually connects to the Seth higher self (I believe one of the facets of the same Seth as Jane Roberts), so he has been receiving internal guidance.
Ooh, my birthday is September 13th, although I'm only 22! aha My older brother's birthday is Sept. 16th actually. We are 3 years, 3 days, 3 hours (to the minute) and (as my mom says) 3 pushes apart. aha
11-11-2011, 03:31 PM
Yes, I do all those things as well, though I have come to believe that my connection is to my own higher self (whatever that means - I just don't have a name as such, and haven't felt it important to get a name).
I'd noticed that your BD is the 13th! I have a brother born the 13th 1 year and 363 days after me (= 2 years - 2 days). And a 1/2 brother born the 10th. Gotta love us September babies! We are the result of new year celebrations! LOL! Love and light!
11-11-2011, 03:55 PM
Yeah, a name isn't really important, and some higher selves simply do not have them. The ones with well-established names tend to be those who are particularly connected to those fields of realities which utilize them. Such as for myself, I am actually naturally resonant with names and names are a particular force that I work with, so they can be meaningful to me.
This is true, although I was originally born blind, and I consider it possible that my consciousness didn't properly awaken until my third month of life.
11-11-2011, 04:00 PM
You should start a thread about working with and resonanting with names!
11-11-2011, 04:12 PM
I cooould do that, I'd have to think about it a little since it's not something many are often conducive to. Often people like to think that names are meaningless and completely by chance, but for me, a name is part of an archetypal signature, it's part of the frequency of one's identity, and by nature of the thought world those with the same, or similar names, are indeed connected.

So interesting. I'm 43--well older than you whippersnappers! When I was your age (back in the olden days of the 80s), it seemed like there was NO ONE my age into this really (all the metaphysical people seemed to be my mom's age or older)--made for a pretty lonely path in some ways. Or if there was, they were more into the artifacts and "play" of the metaphysical scene (the jewelry, wicca wear, etc) than in dedicating their lives to God. However, my mother and grandmother were both "awake", so I was never truly lonely. This has led to balance in my life: I have a traditional family (2 kids, 2 dogs), a great career, a solid "real world" university education, a husband who is supportive, despite not being "into" this...of course his mom is a reiki master and studied under Kay Sterner who was a psychic back in the day; she's also a spiritualist minister. You can imagine the interesting life my kids lead! And I know this is a personal decision, but I would offer this, parenthood is a sacred service--think of your own childhoods and imagine how things could have been different for you if you'd had a parent with the knowledge you have now--offering a body to a soul who wants to incarnate is amazing, offering to care for that soul while it deals with the difficult negotiation of adjusting to this world is amazing. I, and this is just me, did not know how full and complete love is until I experienced it in this way. Good luck young'ins! It's harder to be your age than it is to be mine!!! Many of the "big" questions of my 3D life have already been answered! (home, mate, job, etc.) Enjoy the journey of finding your own answers. Love to you all.

im 64 lol . i enjoy listening to younger people and there concerns and dreams . i seem to have more in common with them than people my age as i find it hard to take this reality as seriously as many do. as others have said the soul is eternal so i always respect the wisdom of those younger than myself

37 Aries....but mentally, still feel 18-22ish. I wonder why that is? Infact when I tell someone my age it feels wrong. I have no fears of getting old/er.
I just feel very young sometimes and also look much younger than my age. I don't mean that in a egotistical way. I was thinking about Bashar saying we must live our highest excitement, which leads to time flying by, which leads to slower aging. Life hasn't been that exciting so not sure if it applies to me... Which leads me to ask: what age do you feel?
02-13-2012, 03:20 AM
40, but feel much younger and still am rather childish or silly, if you prefer...
I work at uni and sometimes people think I am one of the students there. Actually I think leading a rather boring life could contribute to one looking younger (just think of the nuns in monasteries, most of them hardly have any lines on their face up to old age and many live to be 90 years and more. Or as my mum used to say "they don't have husbands and kids getting on their nerves, so they are able to live their lives in peace" )

You know Meerie, I totally misread your post and thought you were implying you wanted to find yourself a younger lover.
02-13-2012, 05:44 AM
What exactly made you think I was implying that?
and how old are you, to stay on topic? and do you feel younger, or older?

With my kids, I always remind myself that although I need to teach them how to get along here, they are actually "adult" souls...same thing with the high school students I teach--and since I teach English, I often get to see their most profound thoughts in their essays--their brilliance that they don't typically share with their peers or parents because there just isn't the context for it. Such an honor and pleasure to work with young people. I've learned so much...truly, as Ra states, we are all "teach/learners" and "learn/teachers"....but I'm glad to see a few older folks on this forum too!
