“Not From ‘Round Here”

           
 
We’re not from ‘round here
But we hold you so dear
That we have to be near
To alleviate your fears
 
To lift you up from the common fate
To move you beyond fear and hate
To lighten the planetary vibe
To ride along with Love’s great tide
 
Wandering here with our brethren of sorrow
Do all we can for a better tomorrow
But it can only be a collaboration
Shine a bright light for the next generation
 
Previously Benhiles – not better than the natives
Just here to help by getting creative
Please get past the alienation
Tune yourself to a higher vibration
 
When the dawn is here
The path will become clear
A new race will arise
And become much more wise
 
The old ways will fall away
As we work together for a new day
As The Harvest creates a splice
We will make Earth a paradise

I would have said, "A new race will arise". Do you think that arise might sound better than rise?

My poetic verse is usually expressed in the lyrics of my music, so it's quite rare of me to write verse for its own sake.
