.
In the service to others path we consider others as we would ourselves. We see their beauty and seek to learn that which is of service by them to the others around them and admire the strength they use and the sacrifices they make to do so without the benefit of the circumstances that we have been given. We look for what they wish and find the similarities and differences between these wishes and our own and again find awe in the fullness of the distortion towards love that can only be experienced by genuinely identifying with the other/self as self as well as possible. See them in their youth, see them in their glory of third dimensional life, and finally strive to make some kind of telepathic contact with the higher self of the individual and ask how we might be of of some small service to unite them. .

I would say primarily as a personal mirror:
"The disciplined personality, when faced with an other-self, has all centers balanced according to its unique balance. Thusly the other-self looks in a mirror seeing itself." http://www.lawofone.info/results.php?v=e&s=74#9

In more ways than there are stars in the sky, each in their relative perspective of the Creator they see in themselves and others.
