I read that on facebook depressed people are more likely to like alot of things (I can attest to this), so I'm assuming the same would apply here.

Was this based on a study or something? I don't think it's possible to make that connection depressed----->likes. There are lots of other factors that lead to people deciding to 'like' posts. And Facebook is... well Facebook... :p

I love it when someone "likes" my post. When no one does, that's ok also. I use the button impulsively, for different reasons at different times. Maybe spirit guides me to do it because someone needs a "hug" right at that moment.
Before making too many changes in these forums, I think we should reflect on how much more wonderful they already are than almost any other forums I've ever encountered on the web. If it ain't broke, why fix it. However, things will always change, and my job is to ride the waves.

I can't stand this. Your posts, all over the forum, are like little children only asking for love. And I can't just look at them without giving this love. I'm telling you guys, it's driving me crazy!
So I'm pretty certain that I'm going to crack before long.

I think I'm at peace with it now.

I consider the like-dislike system to be a "speak up-shush up" meter.
If i get liked more than I like, i need to shush up and wait to read enough stuff that i agree with and hit like. If the reverse then the same in reverse. I consider it my "keeping my interaction with "ra" in balance-o-meter"

how do you let go of the 'wheels of like-dislike' polarity?
