this is a phrase that is found in Ra in a few places -
"the balancing of love and wisdom",
and I was wondering as to its particular aspects, and what it meant for me.
I thought about it consciously for a little bit, and didn't make too much progress. Nothing that seemed deep anyway.
I then had a dream later in the day, and it yielded a metaphor that seemed somewhat useful (and elucidating) to me.
what I saw was this:
there were two rooftops separated by a distance. There was one person on each rooftop. (obviously the self on one rooftop, and the 'other-self' on the other rooftop).
various sitations played out. The initial stages involved the throwing of a rope from one side to the other, so that a 'connection' was possible. Once the initial 'connection' was made, it was possible to build a rope bridge with planks, so that eventually one could cross from one side to the other. Other attempts were made where I tried to create/throw the rope bridge before the initial connection was made. And the 'bridge' would fall flat downwards, and not reach the other side, despite how close it would get to the other building.
anyway, this was how I understood it:
initial rope/connection = love, compassion, acceptance of the other self.
creating the bridge = wisdom, knowing how to assist, how to be of the most appropriate service, given the circumstances.
all attempts at positivity are dependent upon green first, then blue. Without the green (initial connection, acceptance of the other self), attempts to 'create a bridge' will just fall downwards, as there is no 'connection' between the two sides. You are just 'talking to yourself' in that situation. There is no empathy or compassion undergirding the other efforts.
once the rope is established, then a bridge can be built out, so that the most appropriate service can be offered (wisdom).

Using this metaphor, the 'balancing' of the love/wisdom aspects can be seen to be quite a few.
if one chooses love over wisdom, one can spend a lot of time empathising with someone, consoling them, establishing connections, expressing feelings, being compassionate, establishing commonality, etc etc. These are all GREAT THINGS, and emphasise the commonality of all beings. There will be lots of connections made from one side (one rooftop) to the other side (the other self).
but without the wisdom aspect, one is unable to offer direct assistance that may be pertinent to their situation.
but too much wisdom, without establishing enough connections first (empathy, acceptance, compassion) will just lead to one throwing things over the side of the building, in the hopes it might reach the other side. And without the other self first accepting your connection ('love'), they will not acknowledge your bridge, even though the offering of the bridge itself might be quite a catalyst in itself, and of utility in its own way. But such an attempt would not be rooted enough in green ray acceptance.
what was also shown in the dream was that this balancing of 'love and wisdom' was time dependent; in that when it plays out in 'real life' it is heavily context dependent.
anyway, I am sure that this is not the 'complete picture' of how love/wisdom interact, but is just a spotlight on some important aspect of it was playing out for me.
I'd be interested in hearing your own thoughts on the matter, and any personal experiences that you've had.
I know more than one member has expressed in the past that they thought that they needed more 'love' to balance their wisdom, and vice-versa.
cheers!
