Recently I have been reading a fair amount and I have been noticing that often I will look at a word I see frequently, and it will seem unfamiliar, as if the word never existed or I never knew that it did.

I am having a hard time reading very large papers and threads because the letters seem so foreign. As if this isn't my first and primary language. Although it is.

Anyone else noticing the same or similar occurances? :-/

Yep, I'm having difficulties with words too. The more telepathic (4d) we become and the more words are just in the way and sometimes even meaningless.

It's becoming really difficult to read, but not to write.
I can communicate with others very easily but when I am reading texts or longer writing I have a very hard time with words, this hasn't always been so either, just recently.
They just seem so out of place and foreign.

yes I have a problem with very long texts too.
Often I will not even read in the conventional sense, word by word, but only let my eyes fly over the page and see if I can find resonance.
if it resonates, I can sort of download the text and make sense of it.
if it doesn't, then it is very hard to make anything of it.
I think it has not so much to do with the words themselves, more with the intention behind the words, or the ideas that are being conveyed, or with a way of thinking that is expressed in the text and that is foreign to me.

here, Depeche Mode got it right when they sang
    "words are very unnecessary"

I find more that I am more heavily resonant with each individual word, so now I find if I'm reading anything spiritual or philosophical I can only read so much at a time because with it comes crazy downloads of info that I have to digest in the process.

i am having trouble concentrating on very long posts and, like meerie, i just skim the words and dwell on that which resonates. my biggest problem with words, though, is understanding spoken words. sometimes someone will say something that sounds like complete jibberish to me and i have to ask the person to repeat two or three times before my brain will make sense of it. and it's english, not any language foreign to me.

    Hello Haqiqu ! Smile

I must admit that, like you, it's more with spoken language that I have difficulties nowadays.

Wow, Observer, I'm so happy you mentioned this! Yes! I've been having this trouble, too. I was afraid I'd had a stroke or something. Nice to see I am not alone. And like Meerie said, I can sort of skim along and see if I get any resonance from the text before trying to make sense of the material.

Text do indeed feel heavier I have to agree. Words as so much more than what they appear to be. We observe the same symbols, although the meaning attached to them varies. This might not be a big issue during mundane situations such as: "I want an apple". However the more abstract we become the more we glimpse the infinity.

Also it's quite problematic when deciphering others sentences. The data I end up with, or the picture if you may, could be completely different from that which was intended. I find that often words are in the way, because of their lack in genuine meaning. It's like we're growing out of the old finite framework and entering a place where our language seems like a childs game.

From every word, a list of definitions can be derived. And from there sub-definitions are found. If you keep digging you'll end up with a bunch of very vague and general bits, which I would not qualify as true communication.

The language is like a game in many ways.. A cage resulting in a veil.

ADHD causes me to skim, and hearing damage makes my brain have issues interpreting certain tones of voices.

well, my body functions at a very low rpm, but my mine does flicker around so i may have a touch of the "fidgets" and i did burst an eardrum when i was a toddler. but still sometimes i hear the first part of someone's expressed thought but partway through it turns to swahili or something. i accused my son of speaking venusian a couple of days ago. To add to this i also have been hearing other people who i know speak english primarily and their words come out as another language. Spanish mostly. It's weird.

I experience this with computer coding at work. It's not making as much sense as it used to for me. Either that or I'm just lazy.
