I love Debbie Millman's Design Matters. She interviews creatives in all fields; graphic designers, cartoonists, writers, musicians etc. but it's a very personal show, because she's such a sensitive and brilliant interviewer, so it's quite spiritual actually.

She herself was interviewed by Johnathan Fields from Good Life Project once, also a great interview.

Nicholas, Thank you for bringing up this thread.

Due to an inordinate amount of driving for my former daily commute, I learned a lot about podcasts.
My wife and I have listened to many episodes of “In the Now”, since 2010, and also “The Sons of The Law of One Podcast”.
In 2013 we started our own, where I edited a few shows on a theme down to a half hour, adding music and effects behind the experts speaking on specific topics: an audio “mashup”.
The podcast evolved and improved over time, and we now have a steady audience of about 5,000 listeners per episode. The show has reviewed about three hundred podcasts this way, publishing one episode every ten days. We do not take advertising or donations.  
Since the hundredth episode this past July we have been experimenting with different styles, producing a few slideshows that include several hundred images of rare birds, ufo’s and dinosaurs. Our most recent episode includes readings of articles and excerpts from Michael Newton’s “Journey of Souls”. We have covered many topics with a noncommittal position to allow the listener the opportunity to seek beyond the mysteries we explore in relatively short programs that eliminate small talk- but add melodic background and sound effects, making it suitable for listening while doing other things. We hope some here will find an episode or more to be of use.

I highly recommend all of these, but in terms of accessibility, I think the Risk! podcast might be the best for all parties here (the others are philosophy and history). Risk is about telling a live audience a story you've never told anybody before, and it's both hilarious and a venue for some really touching personal journeys.

That's very similar to The Moth! I take my hat off to the people climbing on the Moth stage sometimes.

I had better check out this Marc Maron guy, because he's on this list as well! On the list I can recommend Invisibilia also. There was one amazing show about this South African boy who went into a "coma" at the age of 3 or 4? and stayed there for decades. His parents thought he was unaware all the time, but he was completely aware of everything around him. I have pondered that catalyst quite a bit, being imprisoned in his body like that, without being able to move, eyes open.

He says he pleaded mentally for his parents to kill him... The show is called Locked-In Man.

Here is a podcast archive of James Redfield, who wrote The Celestine Prophecy. It's similar in inspirational quality to 2150 AD by Thea Alexander, in which it whispers a 4D vision. Great guy too.

50 million Americans listen to podcasts once a month. In total we listen to 21 million hours a day. Apple has over a billion subscriptions to podcasts worldwide. There are about 250 million current listeners and at least 250 thousand content providers.

My advice to new listeners is to dig deep, and think about different ways to use the search function on iTunes -even just using a search engine by including the words “podcast” and “episode” with your query. In this way you can move towards the less marketed shows that might not appear in the results of a simple search.
