the following are just some of my recent thoughts around card 13, otherwise known as Death, otherwise known as Transformation of the Body.
Transformation of the Body is a lot less confronting than Death, so we can use that term if one prefers.
I don't claim the following to be a consistent interpretation of the imagery. I am just taking the understandings that I feel most speak most pertinently to me right now.
First of all, Ra said that what we perceive of as the physical complex ('the body') is used as a baseline, which is then shaped by mental forces and spiritual forces. These are all overlapping electromagnetic fields that generate the final outcome of who (and how) we experience things.
so, ultimately, even though we experience our bodies as being 'solid', physical, and very much 'real'; they are electromagetic fields that have an inherent fluidity and capability of being adjusted.
So what holds us in a particular configuration of body? And by that, I don't mean why aren't humans endowed with wings, or why don't we shapeshift into Sphinxes. I mean - what holds a particular configuration of disease or ill-health in place?
The answer to me is that we make Relics of past memories. This could be called karmic action in many cases, but there are memories and consequences of actions which are held in place in our electromagnetic fields.
Ra spoke a little on this card - the Transformation of the Body, and it's intersection with how we use catalyst:
and there it is. Each moment offers a death and rebirth ('a reconfiguration') of the body complex if catalyst is utilised.
And what is the ultimate use of catalyst? what is most catalyst on this planet pointing to? surely to learn the ways of love, so that 4d and higher densities may be accessed (in later incarnations).
if there are karmic conditions, then they are being held in place as Relics in our energetic field. And karma can be undone, if it can be seen for what it is.
"34.5 Questioner: If an entity develops what is called a karma in an incarnation, is there then programming that sometimes occurs so that he will experience catalyst that will enable him to get to a point of forgiveness thereby alleviating the karma?
Ra: I am Ra. This is, in general, correct. However, both self and any involved other-self may, at any time through the process of understanding, acceptance, and forgiveness, ameliorate these patterns. This is true at any point in an incarnative pattern. Thus one who has set in motion an action may forgive itself and never again make that error. This also brakes or stops what you call karma."

we are here to to learn the ways and attitudes of love. No-one forces this on us. It's not something you have to learn. Free Will, as always, is the First Distortion.
But the Transformation of the Body, moment by moment, can happen if we want it to. It's not by any means easy. It's not by any means something we do once, and then forget about it. It's an ongoing process. But it is available, if we want to make use of it.
I'll leave this last quote here to finish off this post. Don asked a question early on in the sessions. Session 10. It is probably one of the most important questions posed, and one of the most important questions answered.
What was this question? here it is:
10.14 Questioner: For general development [of the] reader of this book, could you state some of the practices or exercises to perform to produce an acceleration toward the Law of One?
and Ra's answer, which can be unpacked by anyone for it's utility:
"Exercise One. This is the most nearly centered and usable within your illusion complex.
The moment contains love. That is the lesson/goal of this illusion or density. The exercise is to consciously seek that love in awareness and understanding distortions.
The first attempt is the cornerstone. Upon this choosing rests the remainder of the life-experience of an entity. The second seeking of love within the moment begins the addition. The third seeking powers the second, the fourth powering or doubling the third. As with the previous type of empowerment, there will be some loss of power due to flaws within the seeking in the distortion of insincerity. However, the conscious statement of self to self of the desire to seek love is so central an act of will that, as before, the loss of power due to this friction is inconsequential."
We can continually transform ourselves by this simple act of seeking, and reseeking, and empowering, and re-empowering this choice (with awareness and understanding).
It's the one that is "most nearly centered and usable within your illusion complex." It's the one that anyone can apply, independent of age, life circumstance, financial circumstance, or current health. It's relevant to any being that is incarnate in this density, ie planet earth as 3d entities.
We don't need to make a Relic of past actions and choices, past pleasures and pains. We can learn that "the moment contains love' and move towards that. When there are impediments to seeing that love, we can absolve that with the action of forgiveness (and understanding) that I quoted above.
We can truly transform our past karma and Relics of consciousness.

Quote:The physical complex alone is created of many, many energy or electromagnetic fields interacting due to intelligent energy; the mental configurations or distortions of each complex further adding fields of electromagnetic energy and distorting the physical complex patterns of energy; the spiritual aspect serving as a further complexity of fields which is of itself perfect but which can be realized in many distorted and unintegrated ways by the mind and body complexes of energy fields.
so, ultimately, even though we experience our bodies as being 'solid', physical, and very much 'real'; they are electromagetic fields that have an inherent fluidity and capability of being adjusted.

Quote:81.13 Questioner: [We have] already discussed the Significator, so I will skip to number thirteen. Transformation of Body is called Death, for with death the body is transformed to a higher-vibration body for additional learning. Is this correct?
Ra: I am Ra. This is correct and may be seen to be additionally correct in that each moment and certainly each diurnal period of the bodily incarnation offers death and rebirth to one which is attempting to use the catalyst which is offered it.
and there it is. Each moment offers a death and rebirth ('a reconfiguration') of the body complex if catalyst is utilised.
