Adding three since it's the base harmonic (as such).
So with 417...
Start with 1
Plus 3 = 4
Plus 3 = 7
Same with 528...
Start with 2
Plus 3 = 5
Plus 3 = 8
... and so on.
It's defined harmonic as the sequence repeats regardless of the starting (middle number).
The caveat is the sequence is 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9... (no zero).
So with 741...
Start with 4
Plus 3 = 7
Plus 3 = 1
You can start with the first number also, and then all you need to is subtract 3, so with 741:
Start with 7
Minus 3 = 4
Minus 3 = 1
Or start with the last number and add 3. Three is the key to the harmonics between the series.
As Ruth said, it doesn't matter if one cares not for the maths behind it :¬)
