I suppose like most folks on this forum I've been searching for something all my life - some new satisfaction, excitement, fulfilment whatever you might call it - always looking for something to fill that gap. I used to think I was searching for a soulmate and nothing and no-one seemed to be able to satisfy that sense of there being something missing.
The last few months, since March, I have been on a roller-coaster ride of discovery, largely due to meeting with a group of online friends and like minded souls with whom I instantly felt a strong bond. During the course of my many online conversations I hit upon a revelation. One of my friends who also happens to be a Reiki healer, said to me - who exactly is it that you are looking for? Why are you looking outside yourself? The one that you are looking for is you. You are your own soulmate, learn to love yourself. You are complete.
This piece of advice hit me like a blast of ice water. Since then, I have discontinued my "search" and am now nurturing myself and realise that we are all part of the same soul, are all dust from the same star and we are all one.
To summarise what has been a wonderful journey, I am in love and bliss everyday and can't express how much gratitude I have for this realisation. The pursuit of knowledge and the development of my abilities is now a daily joy - being and not struggling to KNOW everything in order to ascend.
