She has bared her soul in public and I have followed her journey for a few years now, and I see a glint in her eyes that I recognise. She has her distortions like the rest of us do, but I suspect you are being overly subjective, despite your obvious intelligence. What has she said in this video that disturbs you?

While I've benefited a bit from watching her videos, and recognize that my cynicism is at play here, I do find the production values of the video really, really, REALLY off-putting. I don't like my spirituality to be too tidy and shiny. I will freely admit that I have a kneejerk distrust of feeling like I'm being marketed to. I have this exact problem where I work, where there's so much advertising and marketing to employees, little programs and posters that are supposed to keep us engaged and happy. I just want to do the work, in both instances, and I suppose I feel like when people come across too slick there's something they're hiding.
I fully admit that this is a distortion of mine, and I'll give the video a second look.

Okay, here is a Ra quote that refers to the balancing exercises, or the process of knowing the self that Teal terms as "integration".
Quote:82.3: In the context of doing work in the disciplines of the personality, in order to be of more full efficiency in the central acceptance of the self, it is first quite necessary to know the distortions of the self which the entity is accepting. Each thought and action needs must then be scrutinized for the precise foundation of the distortions of any reactions. Here is another quote that I think might be relevant here... Quote:3.16: Before the body can be initiated, the mind must be initiated. This is the point at which most adepts of your present cycle find their mind/body/spirit complexes distorted from. From this I am garnering that most adepts/wanderers have mental distortions, and as Teal asserts in her video, our emotions add life, or colour to what the mind says is so. The internal "reaction" to a thought, stimulated by external catalyst is experienced through our emotions. We innocently attach a value to certain experiences which can result in a non accepting attitude. The root, or "foundation" can often be fleshed out to a time before our cognitive functions have fully formed. Males are at a disadvantage here because we are culturally programmed to suppress or invalidate our emotions due to our practical nature. That is the need to hunt or defend our tribe. One more quote to further explain why I feel Teal knows what she is talking about... Quote:34.14: It is to be noted that among your entities a large percentage of all progression has as catalyst, trauma. Now we could say, for example, that Jesus was traumatised by his act of killing another in an act of rage which "galvanised" his will. And similarly, Teal experienced trauma in her early years due to 13 years of sexual/ritual abuse. I too, understand early childhood trauma, hence why I identify with her weird ways (untimely giggles), but more especially that glint in her eye. Because she has come to own her experience rather than be defined by it.

My objection lies in painting a wide brush over all of her videos as being negative in nature. That's not a skilled response.
