Did I mention that a friend who lived Disco & Marijuana era told me that he is seeing increasing schizophrenia - therefore accompanying conspiracy-theorism and whatnot - as marijuana is legalized and its use increases? Which he experienced in his larger social circle back in 1970s? He doesnt have anything against weed in general but he says situations are similar. Some long-running research on weed also supports the increase in schizophrenic traits over very long term weed usage. (Like 20-30 years).
