as you know, I've been doing some work on the Archetypes of the Body lately.
I've turned my attention to card 14 just now.
I think the essence of the Card is that is speaks to: "that which makes experience flow".
The Alchemist is the Great Way of the Body, and somehow speaks to the environment, or the overall parameters in which the function of the Body takes place.
Quoting Ra: "The body is the creature of the mind and is the instrument of manifestation for the fruits of mind and spirit. Therefore, you may see the body as providing the athanor through which the alchemist manifests gold."
the pouring of water from one vessel to another, is like the pouring of experience from one vessel (aspect) to another.
just a few questions:
1) the sun is being depicted, but are those torches that are surrounding it? I guess this would be clearer in a colorised version.
2) what is at the base of the person's feet? those are feathers or spurs?
