Before I read The Ra Material I always sensed that some of us were meant to be together on Earth. I knew instinctively that some of my friends were "special", that my second wife was the same way and I was always trying to "sense" my parents' and I's arrangement. I always questioned why my father took the Baptist tales hook, line, and sinker and never regarded my "views" in any way as possible? It's funny but I try to see connections and how I can learn from different experiences in life.

In a way I'm rather sad that at mid-life we aren't able to lower the veil of forgetting and really let life unfold in a wonderful knowledgeable way. Perhaps Carla and Jim's Living the LofO 101 book will help me out.

Was there something you were asking?

No not really, just opening up discussion. I guess I'd like to know how others have felt the same way and if they could expound. Sorry for not clarifying.

Well I believe we create our reality in each moment.

Once I watched a movie with my parents and asked my spirit guide if my parents saw the same movie. The guide told me "they're not really there."

For me, staying focused on what I want to do and be here is how I get through it all. The connections are there, but "thinking" about them, it seems to me, is less effective than "discovering" them. It's as though they make sense when you, as an evolving being, meet up with the realization because you got to a place where it matters or resonates with who you have become.

The new age idea that we chose our parents I think is too simplistic in its implications. I think we might choose a DNA lineage for various reasons— intellect, psychic proclivities, creative talents, and so on infinitely, with a delicate balance of attributes; but it must also be considered that not every perfect scenario is available at any given time.

In the scenario of a Wanderer coming here to volunteer, mixing and interacting with family and all the events and people he/she may encounter is a lesson in itself of diversity and chaos and how to detach from, have compassion for, and navigate through the "maelstrom" without incurring enmeshment and "karma." It's one thing to observe from a place of spirit, looking down here on 3D life, and another to be here in the trenches.

I agree Diana. I don't think about this all the time I just think it's neat when it does cross my mind...the bigger play at work if you will. I'm now listening to Carla and Jim's book "Living the Law of One" each day while driving to and from work trying to extract some further insight. Thanks.

I can go crazy thinking about what sort of agreements I might have made with some of my closest ones in this incarnation. I usually joke about it saying that I was probably drunk in the intergalactic bar och checked almost all the boxes of catalyst when agreeing to come here. Anyways, I do have some semi-guesses, but that is what they are. Just guesses. They could be right, or they could be wrong. I'll find out when I pass into the larger life. But what does get easier is to understand what these relationships want to teach me. What I wanted to learn myself when signing up for this. And of course, having Ra to talk about it, even if it is almost always about Don, Carla and Jim, is also very, very helpful, imho.

I would like to know my parents before they ever became my parents. Now that they are gone and I lost them at a young age, I find myself always wondering where they are.

    Hi gramboggin

I really wonder if every one of us on Earth didn’t privately wonder exactly the same thing, as you, and feels that there is an unknown connection with anyone we get close to. lol we would all like to lift the veil at some point somehow but then the game would become so much easier, right ?
Now that I am an old immature 73 years old, I feel so many times that things are exactly there at their right place, and learning offered all the time, it’s pretty cool. Not always easy but then you look at the other side of an issue & you see all the generosity of the possible advancing.

Kristina I bet your parents are looking and checking at every detail of their past incarnation et deducting that it was too short but they got so lucky to have a daughter so spirited BigSmile

Such 'bad actors' also play parts in the theatre play that is one's life. You learn things from them. Things you should not do. Even things you should do.

And veil does not go away in an instant as if it was a theater curtain. It slowly dissipates.
