The moon entered my sun sign last night (Libra) and today/night is also a full moon. Any esoteric astrologers know of these alignments/events? I know about the fasting, but am still learning the more advanced aspects of Astrology. Thanks!

The moon influences emotions. So you may have heightened emotions about yourself. This is further influenced by which house Libra is in. Have you had your natal chart done? You can get them done free on various websites: one is free natal chart at Cafe Astrology. You will need your time and place of birth in addition to date.

Your natal chart will tell you where the planets were at the time of your birth relative to the horizon in the place you were born. It will not tell you where the planets are now in your chart. Perhaps some sites will do that for free, I'm not sure. But there are online ephemerides (plural for ephemeris) that tell you where the planets are on any given day.

Where the planets were at the time of birth is a lifelong influence or tendency; while where they are transiting on any given day is a temporary influence or highlight for as long as the planet is moving through a particular part of your chart.

The house matters because that indicates which part of your life is affected. For example, if the moon is transiting your 2nd house, you may have highlighted feelings about your money and resources. It can get complicated with aspects etc., but just the basics can sometimes be a helpful heads-up. So if you find yourself being reactive or emotional about something, this is the moon highlighting (shedding light on) something, giving you a gentle message about some part of your life (not good or bad, just an insight).

From Ra's teaching, astrology has some basis of truth, but is mostly BS. He states that the soul make get an imprint from the cosmos when the soul enters the fetus. Well if thats the case, the soul sometimes enters the fetus 10 months before or several months after. If thats the case, then most people cant use their birth dates for astrology. The cosmos is also 1 of many things that make an imprint. I would think that the chinese astrology may be a little more accurate, since its based on year and not months..

Ultimately, though, i think its a complete waste of time.

Thanks for the info! I have had a basic chart done online with just my ascendant, moon, and sun signs. I will need to look further into it. Smile

I believe differently. Smile It has deeper meanings from my searches. Esoteric astrology that is. Every single mystery school is built around it, or closely related in some way.

Well, one’s birth chart is not set up until the first breath is taken (the ascendant sign). No where does Ra say anything bad about astrology. It’s totally legitimate.

Now, there’s a difference between the debased form of astrology that is mere fortune-telling (by and large the astrology one will see), and then there is, like Dung said, esoteric astrology.

Dion Fortune had said that many are simply missing the “key” to esoteric astrology, which unlocks the deeper levels of astrology, rather than staying on the surface in the material realm. In my opinion, that key is the Tree of Life and the Four Worlds.

Controlling and directing the planetary powers is the work of Magick. Sephiroth 4-10 are assigned the 7 planets (sun and moon included). Bringing those forces within the self under control and into equilibrium is essentially the spiritual path. Astrology is one means by which one can know himself. It doesn’t have to be used for fortune telling.

The same goes for the Tarot. These are tools that aid in the knowing of the self.

Back to DungBeetle, there’s also the energy of Passover and Easter flowing. We recently had an equinox, which is what easter and Passover are based on. The Moon in Libra would correspond to the 2 of Swords in the Tarot. Here is what Corax[dot]com has to say:

Quote:Tree of Life: Chokmah through Air
Astrology: Moon in the 1. decan of Libra

The Two of Swords are representing the beginning of analysis, putting the pure, undirected ideas of the Ace underneath separation and differentiation, to bring them towards a specific form and end.

Chokmah is creation and manifestation, showing the element in its best light, and so the mind gets its best chance to indicate its powers without showing its shadows. For the Swords, this means peace, since the mind is on its finest level when just administering its potentials.
