I tend to imagine talking with someone in my head nearly every day, works well when you want to talk about spirituality in a world where most dont want to listen. BigSmile

Sometimes if I do it 'with' someone I know and I meet them later it almost seems as if on a higher level we actually had the conversation, especially if some sort of apology or forgiveness happened during it.

Oh yes I'm often talking with my spirit guides as I've come to know them. They are quite beautiful.

Yeah actually a study showed that many, many people both hear voices and interact with them, it just never gets reported because it's not negative, so you only hear about the people with 'evil voices', but the fact is that the majority of people perceive inner voices and guidance.

What's more, apparently even in cases of schizophrenia, the people hear different things depending on their culture:

In summary, whereas patients in US hear voices which tell them stuff that has to do with harming, hurting or killing people, patients in India hear voices telling them to do their chores, be responsible, contact and talk with their elders etc...

I have had hours long conversations with myself, in a mirror, naked.

My hourly thought process is having a conservation with myself in my head.  I'm the good angel, the shadow self, and myself all in one plus the many aspects.  I often refer to myself in my mind as we, and often have noticed these inner voices are like my personality in various pieces, some voices get along, others argue and scoff at each other.

Back in 2014 it was very interesting to note that all the various voices got along, laughed together as one, seemed to be most fulfilled and at peace while they all were in agreement.  Even the darker voices trying to sow separation were met with giggles of happiness that they could still voice themself and not be taken so seriously.

But they're just my inner dialogues, like a complex monologue portrayed as many when it's just one personality driving them all.

When I contemplate, it's like a discussion in my mind between my logic, my imagination, my curiosity, and it's driven by the fuel of desire to know, desire to understand, a desire to explore mystery, and understand the nature of reality.

...Very often my overthoughtfulness is because all of these inner thoughts seem to be a being of their own, and I try very hard to hear what they all have to say.

The voice in my head usually just makes comments as people do/say things around me or to me. if I say them out loud, people would get hurt.

The comments may be funny but they're usually pretty cold.
