I believed the fire one, but a friend of mine who's an atheist doesn't believe in these things.
He's even had an out of body experience and didn't believe it was that.

Chi/Ki/Prana is very real and can definitely be concentrated in such ways. You will likely never find a video that is 'proof' of this. Better to actually go in to the world and meet people who actually practice. Once you have felt it and touched it there is no way you can doubt it is real, albeit those who become adept proooobably don't go for publicity much.

A video doesn't really prove anything since there are a thousand ways to fake such things. Powers like these are worthless, we're not in a Japanese cartoon. The power to heal, teach or have visions/intuitions are more impressive to me.

I dunno, as an outdoorsman the idea of being able to conjure fire could be an incredibly useful skill if you ask me. ;D

Or what if you could conjure clean, pure water and air? That would be pretty nifty.

I've found in my experience however that the reason that I was interested in powers was not for their practical applications but rather to compensate for low self esteem and other lower chakra blockages.

I will preface by saying I think all things are possible.
A person I know showed me a video from his martial arts class. Because I know this person, I know he wasn't making it up or staging it, etc. His sifu, who was a tai chi master, was throwing each student who approached him away with his chi. My opinion was that it might have involved belief on the parts of both the teacher and student—an agreement of its possibility. I'm not sure it would work (as well) on a person who did not believe it was possible, and who was not a part of the very tight community that comprises a martial arts class. The human collective consciousness and its paradigms gets in the way of tapping into the realms of energy because we can't see it with our 3D eyes. I think in the example above, their shared belief in the power of chi allowed them to tap into it and not block it.
@1109 Can't tell you how many times I've imagined blowing things up with fireballs in my life, I understand. However, over time I believe I have been developing a healthier view of power. I no longer 'desire' power but I do acknowledge it and understand that responsibility is key to balanced use of power. I accept that power will always exist and that choosing in how I use it is of utmost importance. Wisdom is that which should guide power and love should guide wisdom.
