I understand that in the Law of One material the idea of "Training of the Mind" is discussed, and there is a particular exercise that involves recognizing the wholeness that is contained within the self. The idea is to neutralize positive and negative charges, not necessarily in the sense of expressing these aspects in physical form but recognizing and integrating them within the mind.
So, in a meditative state and also throughout the day, an individual could utilize acceptance and understanding to integrate catalyst as it pertains to the positive and negative aspects revealed. It helps to use situations and other individuals as a mirror, with the realization that events, conversations, and other interactions will contain content that is meaningful regardless of form. Even if the form of the event is somewhat erroneous (e.g. road rage) the emotional attachments that are revealed are critical in the achievement of wholeness and balance.
While the ongoing process of accepting catalyst as it comes is always appropriate and helpful, I am considering that there is a much more direct way to approach the training of the mind in this sense. Through the study of astrology, which in many ways is an advanced form of personality psychology, one can find many ideas regarding aspects of the mind. In a sense, the astrological discipline could be used as a sort of catalog where different personality traits are understood and accepted. It would be helpful to look up one's own chart, and also helpful to look up charts of other individuals of interest and the nature of different historical time periods. Generally, just reading classical and more recent astrological texts would help provide structure for this approach even if the individual has no significant intent on becoming an astrologer, per se.
I think this gets closer to the nature of Ra's suggestion regarding the use of astrology as a unique tool to understand the archetypal mind, and I hope that this idea is helpful.
