There are two breaths, but only one moment.

Meditate on that for a while.  ZZzz

Reminds me of the movie The Langoliers, where the past was static and had no people in it, and these monsters ate everything to clean up the past. Only the present was real.

I have not heard of that movie but I am tempted to check it out.

To provide clarification regarding my post, it concerns meditative breathing practices in relation to the infrastructure of reality. Finding the middle point between the inhalation and the exhalation, leading to the cessation of the breath, will aid in mindfulness and suspension of thought. Cancelling the breath will not result in asphyxiation if proper awareness is maintained and if recognizance of pranic absorption is held rather than the preconceived notion of the deprivation of oxygen. An effect I've experienced from this is the substitution of my breath with the wind around me, in the sense that my breathing becomes synonymous with the surrounding air.

Another efficient application of this tenet is elongated inhalation and/or exhalation, especially when energy gathering awareness is mixed.

Ive noticed this. Im still not used to it. I have gone so long without breathing or needing to breath its awakened my logical mind which of course creates the need to breath. Still working on letting go more and more.

Part of "Samadhi" as I understand it, is complete breathlessness. All breathing ceases. Symbolic indeed.
