LOO and "special needs" kids...like mine - kristy1111 - 02-26-2010 My third child, age 8, has Sotos Syndrome, and my pediatrician now believes that my youngest one, age 5, also has that same syndrome on a much milder scale. Ellie (the 8 year old) is really difficult to handle and needs a lot of care (but she's also such a sweetheart). Has Ra ever said anything in the LOO or otherwise that talks about these special children? If I have asked this before, I apologize....there's a lot going on around here and it makes it hard to remember things. Anyway, I often wonder what her (their) purpose is. I also even wonder things like whether or not she came the way she is as a result of my karma or whatever. But I especially wonder about them as far as they relate to "awakening" and also how things could go for them during the 2012 transition, etc. I was told a couple of weeks ago that Ellie will most likely require my care for good. So that made me hope that perhaps she will "change" (heal) as we awaken and can enjoy "full faculties". I love her so much - I don't want anything to happen to her. I want her to be happy. I need some insights on these special needs kids. How can I help her? Is there a way I can help her awaken? RE: LOO and "special needs" kids...like mine - Eddie - 02-26-2010 Your special needs children have incarnated here as your teachers. In time-space, between incarnations, they agreed to take on the "hard duty" of being special-needs kids, out of love for you, because you realized that you needed learning and practice in subjects like "care" and "sacrifice". We all operate within the bounds of such "soul contracts". RE: LOO and "special needs" kids...like mine - Peregrinus - 02-26-2010 I have to go quickly to pick up my little girl, so just a short note. Your karma is your karma. It had nothing to do with the life of your girls. They chose pre-incarnate to have the life they have, with the challenges they have. If anything, they are here to help you, so you might consider it an honor to be of service to them. Perhaps you were 49% sto but they tipped the scales in your favor ![]() BTW, I saw the pics of your children in the pic thread. I think each one is absolutely beautiful, and I think you are so blessed ![]() RE: LOO and "special needs" kids...like mine - zanny - 02-26-2010 I also have a special needs child...My son has autism. I have struggled with the emotions this situation brings out in me for many years...I want the best for him, I want his life to be fulfilling and happy, but who am I to say what is "happy and fulfilling" for him. My son and I have a special connection...Through him I understand myself better. He is a gift to me, as all my children are...I have found that I am more compationate because of him...And he has helped me see others who have special needs as the gift they are... I wish I had some advice for you...But all I can offer here is understanding. You are not alone. ![]() Love and Blessings, zanny RE: LOO and "special needs" kids...like mine - litllady - 03-02-2010 You are here for each other equally, your being is for them just as much as their being is for you. I believe its not all's purpose to awaken. Some are here to just be. Some have awakened in past lives and chose to come to help another. This could be why so many children are bringing catalysts for us to work with, they are bringing us opportunity. It goes both ways. As zanny said...know you are not alone. Much love Lynette RE: LOO and "special needs" kids...like mine - fairyfarmgirl - 03-02-2010 Sotos Syndrome? So does this mean that you are seeing them as syndromic? There is alot to be said about seeing that which you are seeing. Are you well informed concerning this challenge? Have you researched what other parent's who have children with these symptoms are saying... have you heard and learned from their stories? Are you aware of the foundations and forums for infor and story sharing concerning this challenge you and your children are experiencing? Are you learning how to teach/learn? Learning to teach is a skill that I have found to be of utmost assistance for me and my child. As well as compassionate communication. --- have you learned alternative forms of communication such as sign language, cued speech or observed the language of your child and began to decode it... Are you aware of Language boards? Occupational Therapy? Montessori Method? Learn to Teach--- and Learn to Learn. I refused to see my child as "autistic spectrum." I told the Drs that was their words and not mine. I simply saw him as adapting to his enviornment in the best the way that he was able to... my job was to learn his language and teach him mine... to bring forth the best from him and allow him to bring forth the best from me. This is not always easy... I was called that crazy mother by many of a teacher and dr (they did not "believe" my "unproven" observations. I told one of them to go ahead and prove holding a lite lighter to their hand would burn their flesh because their "observation" was "unproven." They called me crazy! I also began to observe. Observe. I observed him after eating... is there a place I can improve his life? Is there a connection between his adaptablity and food? Pollutants (enviromental, energetic, emotional, mental?) Is there a link between my interaction with him and his behavior? I observed his keen interest in knowing more about stuff... So I provided a rich learning environment for him to explore... he put everything in his mouth... So I adapted and made sure we were always in a clean enviroment... I learned about Chelation... and did a natural chelation... This greatly improved life for him dramatically. Now everyone seems to know that with "autistic spectrum" disorder that there is a connection between food and behavior, polluntants and behavior, vaccinations and behavior and cognition... etc. The "You are what you eat" phrase of our Great Grandmothers time is in fact "being proven true by scientific methods." Science it seems lacks any common sense--- science seeks to label and limit in the name of empiricle data. I put very little stock in science and more stock in observation... observation is adaptable and flexible and changeable as more information is taken in... It seeks not to proclaim the truth but to learn as the truth is revealed... and as it is always with these Earth based truths... the truth is the truth until it is not the truth anymore. So through my efforts of observation and adaption... I grew and he grew... we grew together and in that growth therein was the healing. Our children will always need us... it is the job of the parent to be available in the time of query and need for the opportunity to teach/learn and learn/teach... fairyfarmgirl |
