Why is there no movie about the Ra material? - KindaEnlightened - 02-28-2014

So sorry if this has been asked a million times before, but does anyone here know if there is/was ever any talk of turning the story of Carla, Don, Jim and Ra into a movie? I tried to search for any mention on here and couldn't find any mention. There has to be a screenplay or two about this already, right?

In my opinion, I think it would be a great way of getting the info out to the masses, AND, I really do think it makes a great story.Heart

I would assume that the end of the Ra contact would still be a sensitive to issue to those involved and I could understand a reluctance to see those events portrayed in film.

It would be interesting though don't get me wrong.

I personally don't feel like the material would be served by a dramatization of the events surrounding it. The story of the group and their experiences around the contact is fascinating for sure. It can also serve to inform the material itself, showing that the information was not received in a vacuum, and what conditions were present during the process.

But I think the best source of this story is told directly by the people involved as best as they can remember it without any added dramatization. We as humans naturally project our own sort of dramatization onto the story already so I feel like attempting to put the story on film in an engaging way would only further distort things.

There is the idea of a documentary, but a documentary filmmaker recently advised us that unfolding stories make the best documentaries, stories of the past not so much. Especially something like the Ra contact, a documentary would be lengthy interviews with Jim and Carla about information they have shared at many times on many occasions without much else to show.

What would be useful, I think, is a comprehensive telling of the whole story written in a single definitive place instead of scattered among Book V commentary, random interviews and publications. Carla has interest in a project like this, so it may not be too far off.

I thought most of the intriguing stuff would be in the rather esoteric material which is more resonating with spiritual pursuits. That type of movie typically doesn't fly.

I see it forming in my head... yes, yes. Hallmark channel, Sissy Spacek as Carla. Joaquin Phoenix as Don. Ben Kingsley as Jim.

Morgan Freeman as the voice of Ra, at least with a bit of audiotune done on his voice to make it sound cosmic. Yes in my head Carla spoke in a mythical deep tone hehe.

Gotta spice it up a bit though, maybe ada in a conflicting orion entity voice to demonstrate negative attacks voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch.

lmaooo cumberbatch yes! Altho if Carla were to speak like morgan freedman/ra people would think it's a bit like the exorcist lol. Directed by the The Wachowski siblings.

My biggest gripes with certain truths exposed/shared as film is that, 1) It becomes very distorted / dramatized. 2) It becomes "just another movie", and another point for people to simply take it as such, even if "This was based on a true story" was stamped at the beginning and end of it.

Leave the Ra Material as is. Those who need to find it, will find it.

The only way a movie like this would make mainstream is if it were extremely distorted. The people who control Hollywood don't want his information out in the open. The best option would be an independent film.

A documentary that understates things - no hyped up grand music, no sensationalism, no added dramatization - would be interesting it my book. It would provide another window into this philosophy and, if done correctly, be enormously edifying.

At the same time, no matter how well a Ra documentary was done, I don't think there is any getting this info out to "the masses", KindaEnlightened. I could be wrong, but humanity has yet to embrace the path of spirituality in general, much less a philosophy such as this that would require a revision of so much of consensus reality holds to be true. (e.g.: Reincarnation, multi-dimensionality, the validity of the STS path, subtle energy bodies, chakras as centers of consciousness, the abilities and powers of faith, thought-form built pyramids, UFO visitations, wanderer founders of the USA, the requirements of harvest, on and on it goes.)

I think this information will continue appealing to a small demographic. : )

But I'd still dig a documentary!

I (and my spouse) have always thought Babylon 5 was based on this material. What about Star Wars?

Quote:16.10 Questioner: You mentioned the word “Empire” in relation to the Orion group. I have thought for some time that the movie Star Wars was somehow an allegory, in part, for what is actually happening. Is this correct?

Ra: I am Ra. This is correct in the same way that a simple children’s story is an allegory for physical/philosophical/social complex distortion/understanding.

Also:

Quote:23.19 Questioner: This is a dumb question, but… There was a movie called Battle Beyond the Stars. I don’t know if you are familiar with it or not. I guess you are. It seemed to have what you’re telling us included in the script. Is this correct? Do you know anything about it?

Ra: I am Ra. This particular creation of your entities had some distortions of the Law of One and its scenario upon your physical plane. This is correct.

I am Ra. I leave this instrument now. I leave each of you in the love and the light of the One Infinite Creator. Go forth, therefore, rejoicing in the power and the peace of the One Creator. Adonai.
