Very cool, I'm listening on Chrome and it seems to work just fine! Thank you βαθμιαίος Smile

RE: Audio of individual questions and answers beta test - reeay - 03-22-2013

Works beautifully on Safari. Thank you!

RE: Audio of individual questions and answers beta test - Horuseus - 03-22-2013

Works fine as expected on Chrome 27.0.1448.0 dev-m, IE 10.0.9200 and iPad Safari 7534.48.3. Good job.

Slight issue with Firefox 19.0.2. Clicking the 'play' the first time (any play link) evokes a dialog asking to save the MP3. Choosing either 'Ok' or 'Cancel' does not seem to affect the next time and it plays inline just fine thereafter.

Edit: A Q if I may. Are these files being cached? Also a suggestion should it be feasible would be to 'separate' the Questioner and 'Response' play links, or perhaps a way to skip directly to the Response section.

Works on Firefox in Ubuntu Linux.

These recordings really show how much work went into this.

RE: Audio of individual questions and answers beta test - Aureus - 03-22-2013

Works fine on android 4.0 os.

No, they're not being cached on the server. How would that work? These are fairly large files -- the largest is 12 MB. (128 bit encoding).

Re: separating questions and answers: I'm not sure. I tend to think of them as belonging together, because Ra's responses were so carefully geared to answering and elaborating on exactly what Don asked.

I completely agree. They really make it real, especially when you hear Carla come back into her body at the end.

Working perfectly on Chrome Version 25.0.1364.172 on Windows 7.

RE: Audio of individual questions and answers beta test - zenmaster - 03-22-2013

For Q49.2, Don said "visions and voices", but "voices and visions" is written.

RE: Audio of individual questions and answers beta test - βαθμιαίος - 03-22-2013

Good catch. That's another reason I want to do this -- many ears will, I hope, help make the transcripts more accurate. That particular change is in the relistened version (see http://www.lawofone.info/show-diff.php?s=49&dv=r-e ) but I haven't gotten up to 49 in the "light editing" process.

I keep wondering how audio time scaling (i.e. phase vocoder) might make the responses less labored or tedious.

This is a feature that should be built into the HTML5 standard. I wonder if it is.

Works beautifully on iPhone too.

Thank you for all this, βαθμιαίος! Heart

RE: Audio of individual questions and answers beta test - Bring4th_Austin - 03-24-2013

Works perfectly on my Samsung Galaxy S3, both with the default internet app as well as the Chrome app.

RE: Audio of individual questions and answers beta test - Arda - 03-24-2013

Works fine on Samsung Galaxy S1 with Opera mini Browser! Well done!

Don't see anything about time compression/expansion.

Carla generally spoke approximately 3X slower than normal during these sessions. However, the pronunciation speed and pauses between words actually varies enough such that scaling more than a 2X reduced tempo would start compromising intelligibility. However, you could probably combine silence trimming with 2X tempo reduction, and it would sound normal.

OK, it's live and two more sessions added:
