Re-enchanting Mother Earth - Shin'Ar - 03-25-2012 From here you step into the world of the ancients. The spark of life, that small indecipherable spectre between the physical body and the immortal soul, has been known to man for countless millenia. Many have discovered it, and tried to teach of it, and explain it to a confused population. Much has been misinterpreted, both purposely and accidentally. It has been called many names, and many great names have been linked to the teaching of its mystery. Names that have gone down in history as great Masters, and even gods. Who, among these, should we access to learn the truth? They seem to teach different aspects of spirituality on the surface, but when we remember that most teaching has suffered a corruption from both sinister and accidental sources, we have to assume that there is a possibility that, at their core, all of these Masters and gods may have been teaching one truth, and their legacies have also suffered, to some degree, a corruption and misinterpretation of their teaching. So here we have the dilemma of mankind, which has resulted in a religious history of war and division that has marred the planet for most of its long existence. How is it possible to extract the truth from the vast pool of corrupted waters? I believe that what you will discover is that all of this Mystery and Magick, and ritual and tradition, are all rooted in one simple form of attaining the true human state of being. It has all been trying to reveal it to us, using symbols and practices that speak its truth to us in ways that we understand, according to our own individual places of undertanding. It all has the same underlying truth; that there is a means, or vehicle, of acquiring true human evolution into the higher state of being that we are 'naturally' designed to reach. And it is literally another world; another reality that the Mystery teachings reveal to us. The young bird cannot know this 'other world' until it takes that step away from the only reality it has known. It has never known anything except the environment comprising the nest and the branch upon which it made its reality. And yet, the world of flight and freedom was right there, just a second away, awaiting its revelation of new experiences and realities. But, until the bird takes that one and only step to the 'other world', it will not know it, or experience it. It would remain a Mystery still awaiting revelation. We are that fledgling awaiting the chance to take that step. But our process is not as simple as walking off a branch. Our step involves an awareness, an acitivation, and in many cases, an assistance. These three factors are essential in understanding the means to taking that step that all humans are designed to make, which brings them into the reality they are designed to experience, just like the winged bird is designed to experience the reality of the world of flight. Many settle with remaining on the branch their entire life, only to return to the same situation in their next. That deep seated urge is always present in every reincarnation, 'until' it is finally experienced. The fire within is always lit and waiting to be fanned. We all sense it, because it is our natural state of being. It is the reality within us that waits to be activated. May we always remember the Sacred Flame that dances within the form of every creation. The human experience can be summed up in these three aspects of reality. Three factors; Awareness, Activation and Assistance. You will do well to remember these. Our world, and the universe that contains it, is made up of cosmic forces and elements that flow naturally through everything that exists within it. These processes are vital to the designed performance and growth of creation. And the interaction with, and experiencing of, these elemental forces of nature, is what creates the magic of the human reality. Magic is not supernatural. Magic is what we call the experience of interacting with the natural universe around us. The terminology and definition of magic has been altered in the last few centuries to mean something esle. Like everything that becomes associated with human nature, magic has also suffered a twist of interpretation and meaning. Prior to the 'Dark Ages' occultism and magic were simply the very common practice of paganism, which had existed for thousands of years. It was threaded throughout all of the mainstream religions and cultures in various forms, and was always centered around a reverence for the natural world and creation we all share. It utilized a respect for the elements of creation, and an acknowledgment of the true potential of the human in its state of evolution; which would logically include a recognition of the fact that higher forms of evolved beings would exist above them. In this way, the way of magic and enchantment, the use of the natural cosmological and astronomical powers of the universe, of creation, the world was continuously being enchanted by the magic of human interaction with it. In this way the human was enabled to progress toward his/her designed potential of reaching higher states of consciousness, by interacting with the powers and forces of nature in ways that benefited both. The ancient religions of humanity all understood this dynamic and utilized that understanding with great care and reverence toward the earth and creation that gave them life. It was an atmosphere of enchantment; harmony and balance between the created and the creator. It was the Source experiencing itself in glory, appreciating the experience in majestic awe. There were, of course, natural circumstances and situations that some may call disturbing or anti-life, but that would be nothing more than biased opinion. Who among the created can question the design of the creator and say what should or shouldn't be? Will the pottery criticize the design of the Potter? This was the way for thousands of years. There may have always been some enemy to this enchantment of the world, but the time of the Roman Empire and its crusade for glory spawned the greatest enemy to the ancient traditions of enchantment. It saw the ancient ways and traditions as a barrier to their agenda, and began a method of extermination that practically wiped the ancient ways from the planet. In every place they could, the enchantment of the world was eliminated, and their practices of self-gratification set in motion instead. Who really knows what connections and alliances may have been behind the Roman agenda? Maybe it was set in motion long before, and simply reached a grand finale. Regardless, it affected the entire western civilization in ways from which it has never recovered. The Roman Church vitually redefined the meaning of paganism and enchantment to now mean witchcraft and black magic, painting alchemy and nature worship as evil and heretical. And all of today's ways of looking at magic and alchemy, and nature worship, is clouded by this tainted, corrupted veil. Our goal as enlightened beings should be to re-enchant the world with the cosmic energies that were once used for that purpose long ago. The earth is suffering and requires healing. Re-enchantment is a way to promote healing. Learn how to do this and in the process we might also be rewarded with a metamorphosis of our own. RE: Re-enchanting Mother Earth - Unbound - 03-25-2012 I really appreciate this post, it spoke right to my heart and made clear a lot of very simple truths that I had somewhat forgotten or neglected. Yes Azreal, It is one thing to know who we are, and another thing altogether to act on that knowledge. In the same frame of thought, it also does not matter how we choose to relate to the creator as long as we acknowledge that there is only One, and everything is a part of the One. Whether we relate to it as ourself, as a Goddess we call Isis, or a Son we call Sanat, Jesus or Lucifer, or a God we name Shiva, or even simply a vast cosmic field of consciousness, the important thing is that we understand that this Creator has designed everything, including us, with a purpose and a goal, and has also taught us exactly how to fulfill that purpose and goal. All of the rituals, and all of the names and identities, are meaningless if there is no truth behind their origin and reason for being. And mankind has been led in the way of truth, since the beginning of time, by the powers that are responsible for all of this creation in which we exist. Our own methods of relating to them are nothing more than semantics and satisfaction of the flesh. Nothing we do or believe transforms or alters actual truth. Nothing we do alters the natural design of creation. If it is true that we have the Goddess to guide us, and we follow that teaching to ascendance, than we benefit. If it is not true, than there is nothing to be gained or lost. What true seekers do find however, is that after enough time and experience, man does find his way to truth through the guidance of the Goddess, and the goal of a higher state of being is within our grasp. This guidance has been under our noses all along, through the teaching of the Serpents, the Kumaras, and the Goddess, and the truth behind it has never changed. Religion may have gone through radical alterations, but the truth that it is rooted in remains as it always has. Discovering this is simply the natural process of evolution. So with this knowledge and understanding of the One God and our role in the One Consciousness, we must decide how we are going to use this information and how it is going to affect how we live this life. From what we have learned here there is a natural process built into our very being that each of us must evolve into and learn how to activate. Once we accomplish this activation process we become transformed from our physical existences into our metaphysical entities and can then begin to experience this universe on another dimension. We can literally ascend into a higher state of being. In my own particular path I have become attracted to the practises of paganism and gnosticism. Druidry has many facets about it that I really enjoy but unfortunately most of the ancient druid tradition has been lost, and the modern attempts at reconstruction using literature and cross referencing only seems to design personal forms of various suppositions and pretenses. it is therefore impossible to really recreate the true druid traditions. But when one has studied enough religion and history it is possible to design practises that incorporate aspects of various pagan and gnostic traditions to come up with a working and practical means of living according to our true natural design and interaction with the One Consciousness we call God. And after all, that is the goal of all of these various traditions in the first place. If one was able to incorporate various aspects of the many traditions that are still clearly in touch with their histories today, one could have relative confidence that they are practising tradition which has been rooted in the One in some manner, for all of these have the same origin. Understanding that, and discerning the commonalities is the key to success. So choose a name for the Goddess that she will recognize as one that tradition has called her by often. Do the same for the Infinite Spirit as well. Tradition calls these your patron deities. Truth knows them to be one and the same, but the way we relate to the One is symbolicly, so as to take into consideration the ancient teachings of the First Instructors. From the earliest beginnings these Instructors have taught us the importance of bonding with the natural powers that surround us, and striving to awaken the sacred fire within us. That is what our rituals and worship should be accomplishing. Idolizing deities for the sake of worshiping something greater than yourself, or hoping to gain something from them for yourself, is not what the First Instructors came here to teach us. It is one thing to ask for their guidance and seek their wisdom, but it is wrong to relate to them as though they are somehow separate from you and far above you. "As above, so below!" It does not work both ways. Either they are somehow these miraculous beings far removed from our being, wanting to be idolized by lesser beings, or they and we are One, and if so, than we are as much God as they. It is this indecision that one must learn to overcome if they ever want to know the real truth of their reality, and what the gods really want us to come to know and understand. We are God, and everything is One; the All that proceeded from the Serpent's consciousness. To acknowledge this, and honor the One, we must come to understand and appreciate the creation around us, and become part of it in the way that we were designed to be. Understand that the magic is simply understanding our own abilities and opportunties within the natural design of all that appears miraculous and magical, but is actually natural design at our beckoned call; that is, when we learn how to use it, and when we discover what is available to us. The energies of the universe are not powers that we create out of thin air, but instead powers that are already there, and as natural as the life force within you to begin with. When one learns and understands what is within one's design, than one can learn to use that force to interact with the All, and that One Force that empowers All. That is what magic truly is. Magic is God using what he has created, for the purpose of further creating; so now who and what are you? Revealing this to us and helping us to understand it is the role of religion, and always has been. The Ancient Masters have been teaching this to mankind for thousands of years and their truth is still available, and still the same as it has always been. Learn from them, and act accordingly, and you will become what you have been designed to become. Name them whatever you want, but know that the truth has no name. Call the power of the universe to your hands, but know that it is only there because it originates from within you in the first place. Call this magic or religion if you choose, but know that it is simply the natural evolving design of the One Consciousness. RE: Re-enchanting Mother Earth - Unbound - 03-26-2012 Right after my own thoughts, for sure. None of this is new to me, but it does reveal to me more thoroughly the fact that I do not actually resonate with any one path. On the other hand, it has shown me that, as I have thought to do numerous times, I need to start putting together my own practices and rituals that are meaningful to me. There are many ways to vibrate just as there are many frequencies that we can tune into to pick up radio stations. But to find that one perfect vibration or frequency that enables us to actually hear, and understand what is there, we must fine tune to that exact frequency. This is what we must accomplish on our path. The One Consciousness and One Source is linked to via a very specific frequency, and it is only when we vibrate at the frequency that we make the Divine connection with absolute clarity and sharing. The path of trying to make that Divine Connection through a constant dialing in and only get static has been the reincarnations that we have experienced. Through many lives we have played with that dial and gotten closer and closer to full reception. Our goal should continue to be finding that sweet spot, and when we do we should hold it with all our power because 'there' is the gateway to all of the future opportunities and revelation that await. RE: Re-enchanting Mother Earth - godwide_void - 03-26-2012 This is yet another extraordinary post with every sentence resonating deeply with me. Quote:it also does not matter how we choose to relate to the creator as long as we acknowledge that there is only One, and everything is a part of the One. That is a very important and vital point to bring up. In any and every case of deity worship the particular idols being given praise are more masks for the same being. Actually, it's interesting to note that in nearly every civilization to have existed the concept of "God" arose in all of them, independently of one another. Each culture crafts their own personification of these deities and the specific purposes they serve but in the end regardless of name or backstory, the fact remains that somehow the root concept of a higher being with divine capabilities manifested itself in the mind of these various peoples. The Creator wishes to be known by Its Creation. We are designed to come to know our Creator in many ways. Our Creator shall continue to reveal Itself to us in many ways. And it does so through us, for we are one in the same as you so eloquently pointed out. The seeking of God is natural to us because it is merely a memory of the form we were once a part of which we are not aware of as being a memory. We are all God with a case of amnesia and a handicap placed on our abilities, but it is not to say that these two afflictions are permanent. Your description of magic ties in with them, in that once the amnesia has subsided, our abilities once again resurface, though it is up to us to discover the potential possibilities of our capabilities. Quote:Understand that the magic is simply understanding our own abilities and opportunties within the natural design of all that appears miraculous and magical, but is actually natural design at our beckoned call; that is, when we learn how to use it, and when we discover what is available to us. Revealing this to us and helping us to understand it is the role of religion, and always has been. TheEternal, you made a thread recently on Faith and Will being one in the same, yes? I believe that ties into this. Faith is deep-rooted belief that something will happen or exists or go this or that way when no indication that it will/does exists. When we try to Will something, we are attempting to manifest without any indication that we will succeed. In both instances, the common factor is that the mind envisions something which it desires and seeks for it to occur, for the thoughts to become manifest. When one holds faith, usually whatever thing faith was being had for seems to be willed into existence. When one attempts to Will something, it must be believed without a shadow of a doubt that it will come to be; faith must be present. When knowledge of one's true nature as Creator begins to seep into the depths of the mind and no doubts exist any further, faith is transmuted to knowingness and Will no longer needs the faculty of faith to carry itself upon. Willing things into existence becomes almost second nature. And it is so, because there is no reason it shouldn't be given who we are. Simply familiarize oneself with the mind, the thoughts, the desires, the intentions, and orient them in such a way as to allow the "magic to happen". Magic requires faith and will, but when faith has become knowledge magic and will become synonymous. Of course this is all semantics, as you Shin'Ar have already provided a prime definition of magic as is, as the interaction between ourselves and the Creation after acknowledgement as ourselves as One in a manner that some would deem 'supernatural' but is in actuality as natural as breathing. RE: Re-enchanting Mother Earth - Unbound - 03-26-2012 I am going to presume that said vibration of connectivity is Divine Love, the thread which binds us. RE: Re-enchanting Mother Earth - AnthroHeart - 03-26-2012 I like what you say about willing things into existence. It's been a pretty deep passion of mine. This Thread as you call it, has been acknowledged by the ancients as the Goddess herself. It is through the Goddess that we make this divine connection. of course the Goddess is a symbolic representaion of the divinity within us. Which is why it is known on the left hand path teaching as the divine feminine. The Goddess path, the middle path, the left hand path, or the path of Light are all bound to the revealtion of the Divine Consciousness within. the many ways that this Divine Connection has been expressed is simply the seeker's means of comprehending. RE: Re-enchanting Mother Earth - Unbound - 03-26-2012 Makes sense. For some reason this thread reminds me of when I was in high school, and a friend and I decided to start our own religion. Of course, in our silliness we created "Raven the Sex Goddess", deity of Frgoism, while my friend took the lofty position of Space Pope and I was the most high Cyber Bishop. Aah, maybe we had the right idea, but a little lacking in understanding...
