Ever done it?? - Ens Entium - 02-20-2011

Have you ever done drugs..? of any kind

If you'd like you can mention which drug you did and a little bit about your experience. Or, the general occurences during the 'active phase'. Yes it includes cannabis.

I'd especially like to hear about experiences with psychedelics.

You can also include anything about addiction and overcoming it, if you did get addicted. If not, say why you think it didnt happen.

Thanks Smile

Not sure if you consider cannabis a drug, it's certainly not a psychedelic. I smoke on an every day basis. I find the effect is Euphoria. I find it personally helps me to resonate closer to the infinite love and infinite light in every moment. I'm really not sure what other information you're looking for, please feel free to ask further questions. BigSmile

I smoke ganja about once a month, but I'm going to do it more often to help with a personal goal of mine. I've tried mushrooms, salvia and Hawaiian baby woodrose seeds. I plan on doing mushrooms again and maybe trying MDMA.

i miss weed.. it costs too much here in new york city for me to afford.
got to pay 200 just to get almost a quarter.

because if u buy any less than that it's like 100 dollars for not even an eighth

and 50 for 3.5 grams

so lame

i used to do tons of drugs when i was younger, speed, coke, ecstacy, opium, K, acid, shrooms, almost everything but heroin.

i prefer just pot as it's a natural plant.. all the other drugs I'm not so fond of.

I don't even like to drink all that much. I miss smoking pot Sad
if i was smoking i'd be playing video games and not really trying to socialize lol.

RE: Ever done it?? - Derek - 02-21-2011

Hi there, I used to take ALOT of drugs. It was mostly a way to escape this mundane and confused society and way of life, to get beyond the veil. My favorite choice of drugs was psychedelics. I really do believe that these drugs can greatly help people along their spritual path if used in a healthy, and shamanic way. They completely changed my life in so many ways. I no longer use them any more though.

Here are some experiences

LSD: At one point was my favorite. I used to take this all the time. It would make everything much more intense and profound. You would look at a flower and telepathically download everything the flower has ever experienced, for example. A thousand amazing profound thoughts going through your head at once. You would see things in so many different ways and experince so many different realms of experience that it's really hard to put into words. You would get interesting visuals and visonary experiences as well. DRAMATICALLY increased my psychic ability.

Mushrooms: Much like LSD but much more euphoria and less coherent. Interesting in their own way.

MDMA: I used to take this alot as well. Went to alot of raves and such. It totally opens the heart chakra and allows you to freely express your feelings. It's very theraputic for people who haven't experienced it before. It can heal alot of relationships. The euphoria and body high is amazing as well. Be careful though, the crash is REALLY bad, but much less so if you load up on antioxidents (Cacao, vitiman c etc) and lots of uncooked plant protien from a complete protien source (you loose alot of the seritonin building amino acids when you cook it) like hemp seed, goji berries, LOTS of raw sunflower seeds with raw almonds etc.

Marijuana: had a few good experiences but for the most part would get very intense bad experiences when I smoked it, worse than any bad acid trip I ever had.

K (ketamine): this was alot of fun, we laughed ALOT. Felt really light and dissacociated. My brother kept saying "i'm on cloud 9" lol. Healed some relationship problems between my brother and sister. Someone we were with had a really profound experience.

DXM (dextromethorphan): over the counter cough syrup (don't get this over the counter!!!, especially in cough syrup. try to find a pure source online. If you can't then get cough gels . Be very careful with this stuff.) Had some AMAZING experiences on this. One that comes to mind was, I remember sitting in a room by myself exploring ALL KINDS of different dimensions and realms getting all kinds of amazing downloads. At one point I started channeling the archangel raphael without even really knowing who that was. Me and my freind had some good times with this.

Salvia: My whole experience and perception of reality split into about 12 different peices and I was trying to put those peices together, it was scary. Had another experience where I was this alien that was punishing me. (before I knew anything about aliens, wierd). It was really scary but was so short it kind of felt like a rollercoaster ride: "wow that was crazy, I want to do it again!"

2cb: Illegal research chemical, a perfect mix of lsd and mdma in it's effects. You have to find special (semi secret) places online to get it. You can also get 2ce 2ci etc which are kind of illegal but not really. Had some of the most amazing, ecstatic, visionary spiritual experiences with this.

Ive tried a bunch of others too. Prescription drugs, lots of alcohol, smokes, woodrose and morning glory seeds, etc. I highly reccomend that you read as much as you can from this site: erowid.org if you are considering trying something.

RE: Ever done it?? - JoshC - 02-21-2011

Admittedly, I'm envious of all of you who've had primarily or only good trips on drugs. On the harder drugs I nearly always have bad trips :-/... In the order I tried them:

Marijuana: Smoked it from when I was 16 till I was 19 and a half irregularly but not infrequently. On pot my feelings of unbelongingness, social awkwardness, self-rejection, fear, depression, and anger all are emphasized and used to be made to completely engulf me. Whatever the emotion I was experiencing at the time, it was all that I knew and terrified me. More recently I've learned to control my thoughts and think myself into better and better states of being, but I stay away from pot so I don't know what it'd be like......... A little bit goes a very long way for me.

Alcohol: A favorite, always loved it Smile First drink when I turned 17, still drinking these days whenever I feel like it.

MDMA (Ecstasy): First tried it when I was 17 with the guys I originally smoked pot with and drank with... The first few times I tried it nothing happened, for what reason I dunno! At raves I've had both good and bad trips on it. Bad trips (I'm fairly sure I was having a depressive episode) are horrible Confused. At a rave I sat in the stands for 6 hours in the same seat without moving more than to adjust my position with my head in my hands terrified of being caught by the police, terrified of being judged by others, and in general in a very very bad state of being. On a good x trip, it's great! Dancing, light shows, talking, seeing, hearing, everything feels amazing, and if I could guarantee I'd get a good trip I might try it again, but x always triggers depression for days after the trip, which isn't worth it to me, and I've decided to be sober (except alcohol I guess) for personal reasons Smile

Mushrooms: 5 Bad trips, 1 good trip. Bad trips are freaky and the feel depends on what mood the trip is, but being on a psychedelic and being in a fearful state isn't fun in general. The good trip was awesome. I kicked back in my bed and thought about spiritual and deep life stuff while listening to some good ol' Infected Mushroom Smile Many deep insights!

Alcohol/Vicodin: This ones dangerous, watch out for mixing pills with alcohol. But it's pretty fun as long as you don't overdo it.

Alcohol (high dose)/Vicodin (medium dose)/Mushrooms (low dose)/Marijuana (medium dose) Cocktail: Fun as hell, honestly I don't remember much about it. Because of the amounts I took the drugs in, it was basically like a alcohol/pot crossfade with some additional relaxation and sight/hearing distortion.

Salvia: 75% bad trips, 25% good trips... My bad trips were indescribably scary, my good trips were pretty cool but nothing spectacular. One trip that stands out to me felt like the trip lasted for eternity and the tree in front of me was devouring/draining me in an energy-type way.

Marijuana/Salvia: Bad trip on pot made worse (yea I dunno why I did it either) by salvia... Don't remember much about it but it isn't something I'd opt for again! Tongue

Dextromethorphan: Over the counter cough medicine as mentioned before, the effective dose is 15mg for a cough. I took 475mg at 3:00pm and between 5:00pm and 6:30pm finished another 475mg... Very scary trip, scared my friend half to death and he was sober! My vision split into 8 images per eye and my eyes unaligned and stayed that way for hours, we almost went to the emergency room. In the heated room I would get too cold, so I'd go outside in the dead of night and get too hot and do that repeatedly, there's more but I'm tired and feel like going to bed! Mostly scary. One of my favorite experiences happened on dxm though, my friend and I were sitting on our dock listening to the water splash and watching the sunset, and time stood still as I saw the most beautiful scene I've ever seen. Rainbow-colored clouds, diamonds of light dancing on the moving water, deep green trees and the general ambiance of what I was feeling is one of my best experiences of this lifetime. Amazing.

LSD (1 hit) /MDMA (1 pill)/Speed (very low dose)/Pot (very high dose)/Nicotine (moderate dose) Cocktail: It was mostly a bad trip, though I remember a lot of being fairly level-headed for being on several drugs at once. I had two interesting experiences on this: The first was very bad; it was about the Lucifer social memory complex who are supposedly doing their service for us 3d Earthly humans. Basically I was paralyzed with fear and had to use absolutely all my will power and knowledge of light work and mind power to help myself out. Immediately following thatpart of the trip, I talked with 7th density guardians and found out I had made harvest; that part was amazing. Every cell in me flooded with intense love for everyone and everything for about a minute. It was one of the best minutes of my life!

Vicodin: I got addicted to it so I've had to stop, but it feels pretty cool. Basically for me my inhibitions get very low, I become very relaxed, my sense of touch becomes very sensitive and pleasurable, I open up to people, and I keep my head (actually it's like being sober in this respect).

There are several other threads on this site in which I've written about my experiences with drugs so I won't go into detail here, but I've overcome a quasi-addiction to drugs. I used them to cover emotional pain I didn't want to deal with and when things get "bad" (like a fight or something) these days, I still get urges to do any available drug - usually caffeine or alcohol. These urges I quell!

Of course I'm probably an exception to the rule with drugs... Having been very insecure, very full of self-rejection and self-hatred, always having practiced being down on myself, supressing/repressing a lot of anger, creating anger out of completely imaginary scenarios that greatly affected my actions in real life, and having clinical depression made for bad experiences on drugs. I've had my share of good trips on drugs, and I think that if you're more okay with yourself than I used to be, or if you love yourself, or are even just alright or average (in your own eyes, I'm not trying to be mean. You are deeply loved, appreciated and cherished Smile), you'll have a good time on drugs. I agree with Derek, make sure to research the drugs you want to try on erowid.org, and always make sure you're being safe about them and have a comfortable set and setting. Fun, safety, and best wishes Smile

RE: Ever done it?? - Meerie - 02-21-2011

Wow what a story Josh...
since you stay away from pot, I can recommend something to you that for me worked similarly (pot never worked for me).
Passion flower. Brew yourself some passion flower tea (Passiflora incarnata) and smoke passion flower at the same time. I can only say, I have never been so relaxed in my life.
You could also try Damiana (Turnera diffusa), both as tea and smoke it... it tastes lovely and is also very relaxing. It helps to be loving towards everyone.

RE: Ever done it?? - Brittany - 02-21-2011

I was put on very strong antipsychotic medications, which mimicked the effects of amphetamines, causing hallucinations and disorientation, but aside from what doctors prescribed to me, no, I have never really been into that stuff. I saw my dad suffer with the pain of drug addiction and none of it looked so appealing after that.

RE: Ever done it?? - Richard - 02-21-2011

I didn't do the poll...since it seems to be proposed in the present tense only. I have done most everything(except anything with needles) at one time or another. But gave it all up over 20 yrs ago. I just figured I have better things to do that be stoned all the time. Even quit smoking. I don't miss it.

Nowadays...I enjoy wine and good scotch. But in moderation.

Richard

RE: Ever done it?? - kycahi - 02-21-2011

I smoked cannabis when a friend who said he would never do any drug experimented with a trusted friend and changed his mind. After awhile, though, I stopped thinking that it did anything good for me and quit. The last times were just when I was in a group and somebody passed a joint and I took a hit. Probably 10 uses, total.

Oh, I remember that my friend said that he thought pot was okay because, unlike most drugs, the more you use the less you need to get the effect. Years later, after I already had quit, I learned that this effect is because the liver takes a long time to remove the stuff from the bloodstream, so you don't need to add much to push it up to the level that's effective on the brain. This reinforced my decision to stay off it.

Alcohol is usually pleasant in a social situation, and I'll take a drink or two. One parent's family has an alcohol abuse pattern, so I never drank alone, nor wanted to.

For my ADD, I have an Adderol prescription. Generically, that's amphetamine salts. I take them daily but less than the best dose because it contributes to tinnitus, a dangerous side effect. Even the right dose is lower than the abusive level, and I will not experiment not just because of the side effect: I'm feel pretty sure that this would be my addiction if I dared to get a speed euphoria even once.

I recently had bad experience living with two meth addicts. I didn't know what caused the behaviors until the second one explained it. She was able to stay off it for long periods and took personally the other one's traits and weakness to resist it. She was not okay even when off the meth because of her other mental issues, which got worse the longer being around here. He moved out first. I changed the locks on the house when both were gone.

Ditto for me! (except it's more than 25 years)

So if you added an option, "did it lots...daily...but many years ago" I would say yes.

Many of us told our drug stories here:

RE: Ever done it?? - Derek - 02-22-2011

I just wanted to also add after reading the thread the Monica posted (interesting thread by the way) that it is a common misnomer to think that LSD and MDMA are synthetic. Actually, they are semi synthetic. For Mdma, you just take sassafrass bark, turn that into sassafrass oil(a controlled substance), go a little futher till you get mda, then go a little more futher till you get mdma. Lsd is made similarly. Synthetic drugs would start with a base of sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxymethane or something.

RE: Ever done it?? - seejay21 - 02-22-2011

The substances we know as "psychedelics" all have a very similar molecular structure, all seemingly having DMT as the base molecule. DMT can technically be extracted from any living thing.

RE: Ever done it?? - @ndy - 02-22-2011

My story is the the thread Monica linked.

I knew long before I was ever offered drugs that I wanted to take them. I must have what I think Ra referred to as a 'robust light body' as I was mindless drug hoover for several years.

Mindless is possibly the wrong term as psychedelics were my drug of choice.

I was also very into the UK free party and rave scene for many years.... dancing for 8hrs plus is very akin to constant kundalini release.
Oddly I think the rave scene was part of my journey here, I knew it was for me long before the opportunity for me to join in happened, in fact I had to actively seek it out.

I often ponder what the energy of hundreds of thousands people very loved up and trance dancing for hrs on end, 3 times or more every week had on the planet.

RE: Ever done it?? - otherself-jesse - 02-23-2011

Yes, lots of different vitamins, as someone said. Although one individual did not receive any effects from ketamine, I remember once feeling completely aflame...not burning on fire, but more like a pure energy of fire.

I remember sitting under a perfect San Francisco New Year's Eve sky, laughing so hard on mescaline that I thought certainly the stars and the angels must be laughing with all of us.

And other trips with mescaline, LSD, weed, listening to music, feeling the vibration to the core, losing sense of time and space and separation.

I do not use drugs anymore, although I drink wine and bourbon on a regular basis. I posted my wanderer story today, and it contains quite a bit about my experience with meth.

RE: Ever done it?? - kia - 02-24-2011

Cannabis is the only one that has been positive to me. I have tried most of them but needles in different times of my life. I have never got addicted to any. I just couldn’t say no to have a new experience and I was most of the times in good company and feeling safe. LSD was funny experience and gave muscle ache for days after laughing for hours. Most of the time I´ve done others but I ended up feeling guilty the next day, mostly probably cause I´ve done something I didn’t like, which remains me that alcohol is untouchable for me. Except for beers in the summer Wink
I am addicted to cannabis and meditation has helped me to contain myself from doing it and I smoke a lot less. Sometimes hardly I smoke. I try not to stress about it.
Meerie, I think I´ll have a go to the Pasiflora Incarnata (what a lovely name!) and Turnera diffusa. Thanks for that Smile

RE: Ever done it?? - Namaste - 02-24-2011

Ayahuasca
Cannabis
Salvia
MDMA

All with the intention of mind expansion. The only 'drug' I will do again is ayahuasca or cannabis. Very rarely also.

I hope those who regularly drink alcohol and smoke tobacco voted 'regularly'. Those two drugs kill more people, and damage more people, than all of those in the list above combined. Many. Times. Over.

Professor David Nutt did some extensive research here in the UK, while operating under the UK Government. Funnily enough, after releasing the results and suggesting a new look on what we class as 'drugs', he got fired.

Quote:1. Heroin (Class A)

2. Cocaine (Class A)

3. Barbiturates (Class B)

4. Street methadone (Class A)

5. Alcohol (Not controlled)

6. Ketamine (Class C)

7. Benzodiazepine (Class B)

8. Amphetamine (Class B)

9. Tobacco (No class)

10. Bupranorphine (Class C)

11. Cannabis (Class B)

12. Solvents (Not controlled)

13. 4-MTA (Class A)

14. LSD (Class A)

15. Methylphenidate (Class B)

16. Anabolic steroids (Class C)

17. GHB (Class C)

18. Ecstasy (Class A)

19. Alkylnitrates (Not controlled)

20. Khat (Not controlled)

Note that Cannabis when inhaled using a vaporiser or ingested, does little or no damage at all. Smoking it with tobacco is the mistake.

It certainly clouds the mind. Have you noticed that it majorly affects dreaming? As in you barely dream at all? It's one of the reasons I stopped.

I think this is very telling, especially since we know that dreaming can be used for polarization. Irregular use I see being fine, but even weekly use will have adverse effects.

YES! If you smoke alot you dont dream or atleast you dont remember your dreams! This is so true BigSmile

I posted something but it seems that it didnt work or something. Anyway i wanted to say that after 4-5 years of smoking pot every day, i finally managed to quit. I am two weeks "clean" already Smile I consider this an achivement.

RE: Ever done it?? - kia - 02-24-2011

Not to me. I usually have good memory for dreams and I´ve had times in which I didn’t remember my dreams and it’s not being because of the smoke. In fact I used to experiment with myself and smoke before taking a nap and I´ll set my alarm for an 1hr, wake up in the middle of a dream, became aware of it and slept for another ten minutes and again if a can for a couple of more times. At some point I´m fully aware I´m dreaming and I wake up with lots of details. I used to smoke every Saturday and Sunday after breakfast and go to sleep again and I´ve had amazing dreams. I still do every now and thenWink

Derek, I think its a lot to do with your compensatory response. I smoke at home 99% of the time for years now and my memory is not affected as it used to be when I was younger and smoked a lot with friends.

i voted a few times only but i have had my share of alcohol. Tongue also used to pop sedatives etc, my aim was to chill. i have never done psychedelics, except weed. i was always anxious so i went down the path of least resistance. Tongue took me a while to realize there is a reason they say drugs are bad. Tongue i still miss alcohol though. i think most people do. gotta give all that up eventually and you still remember how a cold drink used to taste... i'd like synthohol.

Of all the things I've read on this forum over the years - this is perhaps the most disturbing and offensive I've read- 200 sheets for an effing Q!!!  Wink

But for the record ( in order of usage ):

Caffeine / Alcohol / Tobacco / Cannabis / LSD / Amphetamine / MDMA / Mushrooms / Cocaine / Ketamine

As for usage, I haven't taken any artificial-chemicals for 20 years and any more specific info since then will remain the domain of those i really know.

Cheers

RE: Ever done it?? - nacho - 01-04-2020

I've been using cannabis on and off for most of my life, for the most part it just makes me calm and helps with anxiety (unless I smoke too much)

Other stuff I've done in the past:

LSD: I've done a LOT of acid, for me the experience is kind of intense - usually with lots of confusing visuals. I always found it really difficult to figure out what I was looking at when I was tripping. Lots of cool fractal patterns in everything and colors moving around through the world.

Mushrooms: I've done less mushrooms than LSD, but the experience to me was better. Usually lots of cool visuals, and a sense of perpetually being lost. Mushrooms are the only substance I've done that managed to get me lost in my own home.

Adderall: I used to do a lot of adderall, it was my favorite substance for a big chunk of my life - I would usually get really introspective and start drawing or writing. It had a very strong body buzz for me, my skin would be tingly and I'd feel really comfortable and obviously extremely energetic.

Cocaine: The best and worst drug in the world IMO. When I was high on it, everything was AWESOME. I'd love everything and have so much fun just talking about dumb stuff with friends. The come down is like the exact opposite, complete and devastating depression. Also it would make me really hateful towards my friends if I thought they had some and weren't sharing. I gave it up because of the come down and how it made me feel so angry when I didn't have it.

Opium: I would occasionally do this with friends, I always liked the taste of it. Usually we'd smoke a bunch and just lay around, not very interesting.

I've tried lots of other drugs as well but only once: Heroin, methamphetamine, various prescription pills - they just weren't for me and I never tried them again. I didn't inject the heroin because needles give me panic attacks, we smoked it with cannabis and it was just like a mild opiate effect. Meth seemed like a dirtier, more intense version of Adderall.

I managed not to really become addicted to anything with the exception of Nicotine. I am still currently hooked on Nicotine, but I'm ok with that.
