Methods your higher self uses to contact you - jonp - 01-25-2011
I thought it might be interesting to start a thread where we could share those odd ways our higher selves contact us as we go about our daily lives.
I've found that my higher self warns me when my thoughts (and sometimes actions too) are headed in the wrong direction by biting my lip. Mostly it's just little nudges to my lip with a couple of teeth. Occasionally, when a more drastic warning is needed, I'll fully bite myself. This more drastic warning seems to work really great, because I completely stop whatever I'm doing for a few moments and focus on the pain of my lip.
Now that I'm conscious of it. It's really been a helpful method for us to communicate.
Has anyone noticed something similar or other methods your higher selves uses to point something out to you?

I actually hear voices in my head. I guess you can't get much more blunt than that. One time I heard an Asian man's voice yell "She is not listening! She will not listen to anything you say! Why will you not listen?!?"
I also tend to realize something is up when everything just grinds to a halt. Sometimes I will be typing a response to someone who has angered me, and the computer will glitch out over and over again until I calm down and change the tone of my response to something more loving. Or I'll just experience the same dumb, random situation over and over again (dropping things, tripping on things, taking wrong turns, etc.) until I realize something is wrong and I need to do it differently. I really think my higher self has a wicked sense of humor.

My guess would be that lately when I am in the "wrong" direction while meditating my Higher Self jerk my leg trying to say: "Wake up! The "answer" is not there". Then there are various signs all the time, and sometimes you just don't know who is doing what. There can be a thought in a crucial situation and there is no way to know who did what - Higher Self, discarnated spirits, guardians or my "brothers and sisters" or my subconsious mind. All is Creator, so when the thought is received I thank the Entity - whomever it was. But it is frustrating many times to not know in this density, as I do have fondness of knowing who did what instead of seeing that thought as Creator. Because I want to thank that Entity personally, as thanking Creator seems in specific situations unpersonal. Anyway, the most undescribable thing that happened to me was one time when I woke up couple weeks ago and I realized that my Higher Self was there, it didn't go back to sleep/or hide/or whatever It does. It was THERE, awaken and merging with me - whatever "me" is. Then It did go to It's "sleep" or whatever that place is where It resides and while It did that I could follow It all the way. I don't want to sound arrogant or too self confident, but at least since then I can go to that place and merge with It and feel Creator/Sacred-ness in ALL.

jerking is not necessarily higher self tho.
i very much think that one shouldnt attribute any kind of paranormal/telepathic communication/occurrence that happens to be, to its higher self. there is all kinds of contacts for any given entity, not to mention that the 3 guides always attending the needs of each incarnate entity as described by Ra.

For me I think dreams are the most obvious communications I've gotten. Other times I just try and tune in to how I'm feeling emotionally in a general sense.

That's true, my brother. But are guardians supposed to intervene in that direct way like twitching the leg while I am meditating? Aren't the only one that has that "kind of power" is the Higher Self (regarding the Free Will and all that)?

we have been given no information on what they can do and what they can not. and what how is the free will applied to such time/space situations. so its impossible to tell for sure.

It can be considered your unconscious, for all practical purposes. All kinds of stuff is "programmed" to happen during 3D experience, including those agreements custom-made to motivate a particular kind of seeking. This may or may not involve other entities.
Also, we are constantly reaching out with our minds and "touching" inner-plane entities, for example. At that level, there is often a reciprocal, energy-exchange relationship at work. Any consequent tangible interaction is likely not a free-will infringement any more than two galaxies coming into gravitational proximity and causing interaction.

In any case, it seems that there is no outer way of interpreting the message. It would be different and mean something different for every person.
