The morning offering and daily meditation - Startizen - 04-27-2022 Hello, I noticed Jim mention he practices the morning offering every day and wanted to see if anyone knows if this refers to the prayer or something else? Also I have read a few books that recommend two hours a day of meditation however after six months of practice I am still only able to manage 15 minutes a day. My mind becomes a storm of thoughts and I become anxious. Wanted to see what you all would recommend to help expand my time in silence. Thanks for all your help. Love and light to all of you J RE: The morning offering and daily meditation - IndigoSalvia - 04-28-2022 Ra mentions that there is no "right" way to meditate, and often refers to contemplation, prayer, and meditation almost synonymously. Perhaps we each have our own style of meditating. I have 'monkey mind'. I have tried to tame it (seeking motionlessness and silence of the mind), and alas, it gets me into a wrestling match ... an un-winnable one. ![]() I will share what I TRY to do. I watch what floats in my awareness with marvel and loving curiosity. When I get into what I consider mundane territory (e.g., grocery list), I chuckle and gently nudge myself to go deeper. I am the observer: the observer of the dream and the dreamer (or the creation and creator). RE: The morning offering and daily meditation - Sacred Fool - 04-28-2022 Immersing your mind in the Ra Material or Q'uo sessions before you meditate might be helpful. Doing so might move you to place of calm where you can become attentive to your own softness of spirit. RE: The morning offering and daily meditation - 3-24-2022 - 04-28-2022 I always remember this part of the Ra readings when I think of the passage of time and your idea about a daily practice. Every day the world changes, and it makes me think of how after all this time the great pyramid is still there, gradually being eroded by wind and the gradual shift of the tectonic plates. I bet there have always been people in Egypt meditate upon the pyramid itself. 4.6 Questioner: Is the large pyramid at Giza still usable for this purpose, or is it no longer functioning? Ra: I am Ra. That, like many other pyramid structures, is like the piano out of tune. It, as this instrument would express, plays the tune but, oh, so poorly. The disharmony jangles the sensitive. Only the ghost of the streaming still remains due to the shifting of the streaming points which is in turn due to the shifting electromagnetic field of your planet; due also to the discordant vibratory complexes of those who have used the initiatory and healing place for less compassionate purposes. RE: The morning offering and daily meditation - aWanderer91 - 04-28-2022 I think a good way to expand your time in meditation, is to not treat your meditation as different to your daily round of activities. If you can bring awareness and mindfulness to your day, you should find it a lot easier to sit when the time comes to meditate. For instance, be present when you walk, bring attention to the breath occasionally and take a few mindful breaths, become aware of how your mind reacts with thoughts and feelings during the day ![]() Also, just to add, even 15 minutes is great, but I understand your desire to want to extend this further. |
