I think this religion was very unique, and the artwork is beautiful you can see it at the bottom of the first wikipedia page. Some esoteric elements of Gnosticism and extinct Jewish sects were preserved by this Persian religion which predated Islam by several centuries.

Some temples in what is now Xinjiang were abandoned to time but in the early 1900s a German expedition found artwork and cave paintings, some of which still survive.

There is only one remaining Manichaen temple and a loose following of Manichaeism in Fujian, China.

The religion was syncretic and revered Christ, Buddha and Zoroaster among other figures. It was the main rival to Christianity for a time.
