Loving other-selves who are suffering - IndigoSalvia - 11-17-2021

I just had a moment. I watched the news, which I rarely do, while I was cooking.

There I saw images of great human suffering, agony, starvation. Tears filled my eyes. I absorbed this suffering very deeply. I stepped into my pantry stocked full of food (in stark contrast to their starvation), and sobbed.

My heart filled with agonizing pain. I wanted to take each and every one of them, hold them close to my heart, and relieve their suffering.

I meditated afterward because I felt powerless. Called upon spirit guides because this was too big.

In meditation, I opened my heart. I saw them in me, and me in them. I loved them as much as I possibly could. And, then I took prana into myself, and sent it to them.

Then, rather surprisingly, I was called to love the people in power, those who may be seen to be making choices that result in their people's suffering. I sobbed again. 'Really? That's a tall order. I have to send love to them?' The answer was, yes.

I did as called to do. I felt myself as a conduit between the two entities - the powerful (controller) and the powerless (controlled) - sharing the universe's love as it was channeled through me and to both of them; allowing them to see one another through me.

I did not set out to do all of this in meditation. I simply wanted to look at my pain and sense of powerlessness at absorbing others' suffering.

I'm not certain why I'm posting this here other than: this is a community of souls who are gathering and seeking our one-ness.

Thank you for listening to my 'moment.'

No need to pity the pitiful or despise the despicable. Acceptance of their conditions and reality which are of their 'own' doing is enough. I think this was the heart of the lesson. Only then you may either offer or refuse service without great distortions.

Thanks for sharing this perspective. I hadn't really thought about pre-incarnative and incarnative choices here. I was processing the load of compassion, and then my meditation/visualization went in an unexpected direction: visualizing energy coming through me to them.

I understand your reactions. When the heart opens, I think it happens by degrees. Most people can unconditionally love their children; then they love their families, tribe, country (nationality) etc. At some point the heart opens to pets; and eventually maybe to animals in general, then all life forms.

When the heart opens to a certain degree, and one can see that none of us is perfect and we all have paths we are walking here, and though I can't articulate it, it is possible to see beyond the drama to the inside of a person, past the outward facade, and simply see the other-self—then the suffering floods in and we understand that everyone is challenged here. That everyone has suffering.

I have been in this place so many times. It is very, very hard to take. For me, there is no resolution to this; only that the pain is there and I came to accept it. I help wherever I can. That is all I can do. So something I might suggest is to donate to charities that help the less fortunate. I keep money in my car to give to the homeless. Just share what you have. It doesn't have to be much. A tiny bit helps.

Loving all your posts Indigo. I have a similar reaction to suffering children. I take it to see the child in all. It’s a great way for me to feel love for others and the creator. It reminds me why I’m here and inspires me to walk with purpose.

Thanks, all. I agree, Diana. It is very hard to love so fully with an open heart. It's not all rainbows and flowers. (Darn!)

You bring up a good point. I wonder if it gets easier, or if we are able to achieve a balance as we practice along our journey.  Undecided

For me it got a lot easier when I switched focus from 'love' (an extremely distorted word) to 'acceptance' (less distorted word). In my understanding they are practically the same on this level of the Creation. There is The Creation principle embedded into 'Love' as the second distortion of the Law of One but it is impossible to crasp it truly being so 'far' from the actual creating out here. The admittance over the enigma of Love/Light and the concurrent lack of understanding over it will suffice at this level which is why focusing on 'acceptance' feels much more practical and useful. This, of course, contains definitions of its own and could warrant a whole new discussion about it.

Love is such an expansive concept, and for me, can be expressed here in 3D in myriad ways. I like holding the concept of acceptance as a facet of that big Love energy of the Source.

I chatted with higher self last night about "will it get easier?" No doubt, it will be an ongoing conversation.

I saw two things about my own experiences: 1. I am like a child learning about and exploring my being-ness; and 2. there is an attraction at play, possibly pre-incarnatively. I got the sense that I can make choices re this attraction (to balance).

I think it is good to feel such emotions when viewing the suffering of other selves. Feeling these kinds of emotions when seeing suffering in my opinion open our hearts even more to other selves and is an indicator of empathy which helps us to see even more opportunities to serve others. Entities who decide to incarnate to parts of the world where there is much suffering is an opprtunity I beliebe to the entities incarnating there to learn more about love and to create love where it is lacking. But because of the veil their true purpose is usually not known to them. That is why I think it is also a great opportunity for other selves in areas with less suffering and more love and abundance to learn to love not just our own family or nation but other selves anywhere on this planet and share that love to other selves who are suffering.
