Asking for Suggestions About Music - Ebe - 06-13-2021

Hello, there! I'm currently writing a novel and, as usual, I need a kind of a musical bubble around me when I write. At present I find "The Last Temptation of Christ" and (2002) "Solaris" soundtrack very effective and particularly tuned into my work but I'd love to have more pieces to choose from. Anyone having ideas? My tastes in music range from Renaissance to prog rock, from Baroque to electronic music, from Beethoven to Richter and Pärt. What's important is that what I listen to while writing has got (almost) no drum base, no words, no hidden frequences/messages ans is not New Age oriented. Difficult, eh?, not even Youtube can sugest something new, these days...
Thanks in advance!

I gave them a quick listening and yes, they sound good, they embrace me and create the sort of void I need to pull out things from deep inside me. Of course, if there are some suggestions, I'd be very grateful! Thanks a lot!
PS: I forgot to mention Armand Amar, I do like his music!

I don’t know if you will like it Ebe but as a painter I love listening to philip glass while I work.

Also I love film scores such as those of Hans Zimmer (Inception, Dunkirk ) as he mixes really well traditional and electronics. James Newton who did the music for a Hidden Life, the beautiful Malick movie. Also Max Richter who did the music for Never Look Away, and the older Thomas Newman who did a string of scores such as the Last of the Mohicans and many others….

Thank you. As a painter I listen to Glass and Zimmer too; sometimes I bump into James Newton & Thomas Newman. Max Richter are Òlafur Arnalds are definitely on my daily listening list as well as Yes and Vangelis and Vivaldi and many, many others. Yet no, they do not apply to this book. Richter was PERFECT for my seven books on metaphysics but this one.... This one needs something different, something I can't explain.

Hey, that's good! And I like the name of the band! Thank you!

Don't be sorry, there is nothing to be sorry about, sadness is part of life and I can stand a bit of someone else's sadness for a minute... Wink
