In my magickal practice, I had gotten used to thinking of myself as a cell in the body of the universe, and the universe as my body.

We are all extensions of the same Source. To harm another is to harm the self. Conversely, one person who seeks enlightenment slowly begins to liberate all. Each of us are the macrocosm, as well as the microcosm.

It took me a long time to stop running from this.

One can think of the Universe as the body or house of God. In Hebrew Qabalah, the letter Beth ב signifies a house and connects Kether (the Crown, Primal Will) to Binah (Understanding, the idea of form).

Bodies eventually die. So too does one's attachment to one's illusory creations. One loses nothing when one does this, one only makes room for all that is.
