Podcasts that you've learnt from - Plenum - 03-16-2019
if there's one thing that defines who I am - it is that I really LIKE learning.
If I go through a day - and feel that I haven't experienced something new, or gained an insightful perspective - then I get pretty down. It means I wasn't in that space of receptivity, where I could continue to experience the Wonders of this Creation.
So learning is really a key part of how I approach my reality.

As the media sector has continued to transmute, the thing that we know of as 'podcasts' arrived more than ten years ago.
It's seen an explosive growth since then.
And podcasts are something I learn from immensely. In fact - it's a discussion that has come up spontaneously at a couple of Homecoming gatherings. People talk about podcasts they've been listening to - and how much of an eye-opener it was.
And personal recommends are how I've come across some of the podcasts I love most.

So here's a space to share the podcasts that have made an impact on your Life.
In terms of recent times, there are a couple (at least) that I will mention as being significant for my own Journey:
Joe Rogan Experience: this guy has had a MASSIVE audience for a while. but I just thought he was an MMA meathead. Like a fighting junkie, obsessed with a physical-only approach to life.
How wrong am I! This guy is extremely open-minded, and has had an array of influential guests, in unfiltered discussions.
How I Built This (NPR podcast): Corporations have a bad reputation. And in many cases - well justified.
But what about entrepreneurs, and the people that actually BUILD the companies from scratch, from a shoestring?
This podcast has interviews with the FOUNDERS of many of these big businesses. Before they became ensnared in the distortions of the share price, soulless executives, and market domination.
Their life stories and genuine dedication to a service/produce is truly truly inspiring.
Talks with Scott Mandelker: Scott has since finished his long running analysis of the Law of One sessions (all 106!), which were a separate podcast feed.
But Scott has a parallel series in which he talks about Buddhism, Psychology, Spiritual Dynamics, Heraclitus, etc.
His blue-ray is truly vibrant and open. He has the gift of the voice in this incarnation for sure.
I've learnt so much from this guy. Kudos.

Thank you Plenum I shall try totally each but will start with Scott M. as I have not that much time...
I love NPR Fresh Air because I just love Teri Gross, what is more how awesome to have such a name...
Otherwise, this american life for Ira Glass and Radiolab if only for the introducing music...
if I have time ..... ' wait wait dont tell me" I know, I am just a frog but totally fell for Peter Sagal. From his voice I thought he looked like Thomas Middleditch of Silicon Valley, then recently I saw a pic of what he really looks like, and it was this older round bald guy, and I have nothing against round older bald guys but seriously that was a let down.

I like Radiolab too. And you're right about that introduction piece! So iconic!
I could never get into This American Life. Even though it was one of the programs that kicked off the podcast revolution.

I've been listening to the Angels Oasis. I'm only a little into the second one.
So far they've covered Source, Archangels, Angels, Ascended Masters, Spirit Guides, and Past Lives.

I also watch a lot of Joe Rogan as he has a lot of great people on. The video I link below is especially important to me (it's about the war on drugs):
But I find that even though Joe seems like a nice guy, he doesn't push back on his guests enough for me, so some fact checking may be neccessary.
I am dubious of Bentinho Massaro. He has also claimed to be from the 8th density coming here to Earth to upgrade our civilisation... its a bit too messiah complex for me. Also he has entire lectures on his channel where he breaks down the cosmology in the LOO and then doesn't cite the Ra material! Many people in the audience were acting as though this information was coming from him.
For spiritual content I much prefer Matt Kahn. He has lots of videos on his YouTube channel Matt Kahn All For Love. He's very good for energetically sensitive people, so you may enjoy him Wolf
. I love to relax to science related content. My favourite so far is YouTube channel PBS Space Time.
I'm into plant based eating, so I have a few dedicated channels on that, my favourites being NutritionFacts.org, Unnatural Vegan and Mic the Vegan.
For personal finance, I like The Minimalists podcast. You can find it in a few places.
And for politics (if you're so inclined) and news I like to watch the Jimmy Dore Show, even though it has a left bias I find it very funny. I also listen to the channel Blackstone Intelligence Network as I find it offers an interesting perspective. I warn people that the content is very serious, a strong stomach is needed, but the host (Jake Morphonios) has a strong bias towards compassion which I appreciate.
I'm always on the lookout for great alternative content, so great thread Plenum, I hope more people share what interests them!

I wanted to thank you for introducing me to this. I had heard of it before, but it didn't really stick.
He resonates with me. I am really wanting to learn about daddy Ra.
I was almost crying yesterday because I felt so close to them and missed them so much.
They are like family. More than the family I have here in 3D.
It's not even a close consideration.

The Law of One material gave me the basic blueprint for my spiritual path - STS or STO.
Since choosing STO I've been funneled into other spiritual subsets, the most recent of which has been shamanism (which wasn't even a blip on my radar a couple years ago).
The "Why Shamanism Now?" podcast with Christina Pratt has been incredibly helpful and informative in learning more about this path - and it's just a beautiful, uplifting program. This podcast has been around for a decade, so I've got a lot of catching up to do. She has a lot of great guests, too.

If you've ever wanted to learn the philosophy behind the big-name philosophers, but didn't want to devote all the time to their texts, The Partially Examined Life is a good one. The hosts are all former graduate philosophy students and do a really great job. I only listen to the free episodes.
I'm pretty sure Ra's description of "spiritual gravity" comes from Carla via Hegel.
