So is Love the most accurate or best word to describe the force/energy/whatever that is the 2nd distortion? Is it Love like a feeling of love? How would 2nd distortion love differ from our concept of love?
I think Love in Science would be the Planck Field. Or maybe the Higgs Field.
From this, Light is the manifestation out of that Field.
Do you think that there are Octaves where there is no love or light? Does the 2nd distortion only apply to our Octave? Or is it for all of Creation?

Love is the best word we have in our language to describe this concept. Q'uo described the Creator's Love as that which can create and destroy universes. I think that is a little bit different than what we understand love to be. We also don't really understand love all too well, lol. That's why we are here, to learn to love.
The Creator is Love. Christ also said, "God is Love." The Creator Loves so much that we have Creation, we have beingness. So in my opinion, Love is the essence of the Creator and there is nothing but the Creator, therefore there are no Creations devoid of Love and Light, how could there be? Light is the third distortion coming from the second distortion.
The second distortion is a concept /process (probably using the wrong word) that takes place before Creation. Ra describes this beautifully, so I would suggest to reread Ra's explanation. These are difficult concepts. Our language, words in general, are such a poor tool to describe abstract and spiritual concepts and principles. I guess that's why in 4D and above they use telepathy because spoken word and language is just inefficient, but it's necessary for us humans at this level.
Anyway, our love is not the same as the Creator's Love that created the universe. Yet it is also the same just not refined and known (yet); in each infinitesimal part of your being resides the one Creator in all of its power and glory. We are the Creator. So now we run into paradox, and I shall leave you with that

Intetesting thread. I also wanted to know how Ra uses this word (love) in different meanings.
1. Love = Logos, the second distortion, "the great activator and primal co-Creator of various creations using intelligent infinity."
2. love = the vibration love, "that density in which those who have learned to do an activity called “loving” without significant distortion, then seek the ways of light or wisdom."

Light is focus of Intelligent Energy by Logos.
