one of my favorite miracles from the bible - norral - 08-06-2010 was when peter and john were entering the temple in jerusalem. a man was sitting there begging who had been crippled from birth. when he held his begging bowl up to them peter looked at him and said "silver and gold have i none, but such as i have i give unto see, in the name of jesus christ arise and walk. it says that immediately as peter uttered these words the man was healed. just imagine that crippled all your life , he was about 40 years old and suddenly u are whole again . how would u feel, you would be overcome with joy and gratitude. interestingly the priests in the temple werent overjoyed they werent happy at all. sound like the ama when somebody comes up with a cancer cure lol. we cant be having that now could we not enough money in that to release it to the masses lol. anyhow the priests in the temple had peter and john beaten and commanded them to not say anything about this lol. how did that work out. i think what im getting at is that the power of the creator is infinite there is no limit on it other that what we put on it is only our lack of faith that something is possible that stops it from happening. it is interesting that so many miracles were performed in the first church and yet now it seems there are none. what happened . why is this the case . an interesting question i believe. now with this astrological stuff we are going thru i believe the door is opening again to those who are sincere. this is a not for profit activity lol u cant sell God but u can share her lol but it cant be for personal gain anyway its late 230 am and it time for beddy bye norral RE: one of my favorite miracles from the bible - Shemaya - 08-06-2010 (08-06-2010, 02:39 AM)norral Wrote: it is interesting that so many miracles were performed in the first church Yes Norral, I know what you mean. I have asked myself that question for a long time...after all jesus himself said, "You will do greater things than these." I have been on the lookout for miracles and teachers and messengers!! There is a guy named Braco from croatia that is reported to effect miracles. he's coming to visit my area in October, i think i should get out there to see http://http://www.braco.net/ RE: one of my favorite miracles from the bible - Phoenix - 08-06-2010 They are at a church I go to sometimes, not in the same magnitude but the same sort of healings. Anyway, Jesus never said only the Christian church would do these things. There are loads of masters in India and other such countries. And another great example of how human nature has not particularly changed in the past few thousand years. Quote:it is interesting that so many miracles were performed in the first church Well, there is a huge charismatic/pentecostal movement in both Protestant and Catholic sides of Christianity, which says this is exactly what is going on now. Google for topics such as charismatic, pentecostal, "latter rain", miracles, last days Christianity, dispensations, Alpha Course, and John Wimber, and you'll find a lot of very heated discussions of these themes. Most of the pages insist that the "signs" prove either God or the Devil is behind the movement, according to which literalist interpretation of the Bible is used by the authors. RE: one of my favorite miracles from the bible - norral - 08-06-2010 dear Questioner thanks for that info. i will definitely google those references. i think one thing that has to be kept in mind in all of this is there are no gurus. the power of miraculous occurrences exists in all of us. what we are emerging from is people who have desired to coopt all the power for themselves which has led to abuses. the most fun thing is when each one of personally has an experience of divine contact. nothing imo beats that personal experience. peace and love to you brother norral (08-06-2010, 06:57 AM)Shemaya Wrote:(08-06-2010, 02:39 AM)norral Wrote: it is interesting that so many miracles were performed in the first church dear shemaya please let us know what you think of him. that would be very interesting to hear about. one thing also that i keep in mind at all times. no one is spiritually superior to anyone else. that is so so important. do not underestimate your own ability to both experience and be the source of miracles peace and love norral RE: one of my favorite miracles from the bible - Shemaya - 08-07-2010 (08-06-2010, 06:50 PM)norral Wrote: ] Thanks for the reminder norral...of course you are right. I feel it sort of a paradox though, because on the one hand I am aware of the power i am connected to and expect "things" to happen, but on the other hand my 3-d experience is pretty average, normal and mediocre. So i'm walking by faith , not by sight. Peace and love ![]() RE: one of my favorite miracles from the bible - norral - 08-07-2010 Dear Shemaya i too walk by faith . i walk in the confidence every day that i am never ever alone or abandoned. ive seen it in how things have unfolded in my life. i am learning lol to just keep my mouth shut and to let God do the fighting for me. as for your reference to an average life i would say to you there is no such thing as an average life ![]() experience is so exceptional but that we experience it exceptionally. i dont underestimate the power of the positive energy i bring to to every interaction. just truly listening to another is imho an act of service to the creator. think of how many people are not fully present when you talk to them. just honestly caring about others is an act of service to the creator and cannot be underestimated in its power and effect peace and love norral RE: one of my favorite miracles from the bible - Shemaya - 08-07-2010 (08-07-2010, 07:35 AM)norral Wrote: Dear Shemaya It sure is...thank you norral. There are loads of masters in India and other such countries.Very true. Here is something to think about. We read of Jesus walking on the water. We also read of Peter having to hold his hand. When I did my own questioning I came across something amazing to me. My soul says that Jesus and Peter both walked on the water. Together. Not alone. That we all have the ability to walk on water. But not alone. For reasons I have not figured out yet, it is only possible in pairs. And that it has something to do with abilities that come from love. In my questioning of the Bible I get that the majority really happened. Maybe not accurately. And that some of my findings that I thought were secrets I had stumbled upon, are not actually secrets, just that people chose not to see what they read. So I have figured out a few of the stories and some of the parables. Very interesting, and a lot of it connects with many other sources. I will add, the very first thing I asked is about the OT. Did God ever command people to kill others. NO And verifying the 10 commandments by testing a fundy, the commandments were scrolls, and not from God. |
