What is work in consciousness? - eric4 - 03-09-2015 Hey everybody! I'm looking for a specific definition/understanding of what Ra/Q'uo meant by "work in consciousness". There seem to be so many myriad ways of working on the self. Even listening to meaningful music and being with the feelings seems to me to be 'working on the self'. And yet, is some subset of these activities deemed 'work in consciousness?' Any insight much appreciated, Eric RE: What is work in consciousness? - Stranger - 03-09-2015 Hi eric, Without a specific quote to give that phrase context in your post, I'll say that broadly the essential work of 3rd density is the transformation of personality toward increasing love and acceptance of all that one encounters. Doing this consciously speeds up the process. For instance, becoming mindful of nonloving/nonaccepting thoughts when they arise, and doing the excellent exercise Quo always recommends of finding love in that moment and circumstance. Identifying unhelpful patterns of reaction to particular catalyst (the things that "get our goat") and consciously working through them to change those habits of responding. Living consciously is living mindfully and with intention, rather than reactively. Ultimately, we are spiritual beings; spiritual beings have just one ultimate goal: to evolve, i.e., to polarize. Therefore everything that happens is ultimately only catalyst, that is, a choice being given to us and a response provided by us. The Universe keeps asking us the same question, over and over and over, in many different forms: "do you choose love? What about now? What about now?" At the end of a lifetime, what we get to take away with us is only the treasure we've managed to mine from the ore of 3rd density: the sum total of the loving choices we've made. RE: What is work in consciousness? - eric4 - 03-09-2015 Thanks Stranger! I think I understand what you're saying, in terms of providing an overarching view of 3rd density metaphysics. Q'uo said: Quote:To do work in consciousness in the higher energy centers when the heart is not receiving full energy is to risk what this instrument would call burnout, ill health, scattered personality, and other ailments—mental, spiritual, and physical—that are the result of attempting to do high intensity, high energy work in consciousness when the heart does not have enough power to keep all things in balance. What is work in consciousness, I wonder. I can't easily distinguish between exercises that work on the lower rays and those that may qualify as "work in consciousness", so I'm just wondering if anyone has some kind of guidepost or heuristic. It can occur in many many different ways but it will always amount to something toward Infinite Intelligence. RE: What is work in consciousness? - AngelofDeath - 03-09-2015 All activity is work in consciousness. Work in consciousness on the lower rays corresponding to the spectrum of red-ray, for example, occurs through the red-ray vehicle. Work in consciousness corresponding to the orange-ray would correspond to its vehicle and so on for each ray range. Therefore, work in the 'higher' or denser ray ranges correspond to the vehicles of the mind and the spirit. The work each vehicle is capable of doing corresponds with its manifestation within the macrocosmic density, with each vehicle being a microcosmic aspect. Hence, we see the work in consciousness of the ray ranges corresponding to the needs of their vehicles for activation and balancing with the other ranges. These needs change based on where in the ranges the consciousness is focusing its activation and balancing efforts and as the needs are met or neglected for each vehicle. Generally, work in consciousness is that activity of consciousness whereby it changes. RE: What is work in consciousness? - AngelofDeath - 03-09-2015 I would mention that it is focus, which is the activity of the Logos, which causes energy to either move in to or out of the vehicles and which organizes the energy within the vehicles. The Logos is the concentration of consciousness upon itself. RE: What is work in consciousness? - Nicholas - 03-09-2015 Hi eric4, Work in consciousness can be summarised as contemplation, meditation and prayer. I for example find contemplation the easiest. Carla L Rueckert wrote this book that goes into great detail and simplifies the balancing process of our energy bodies (chakra system of seven energy centres). Here is the free pdf download link... Living The Law of One-101: The Choice The paperback version (which is on my books to buy list!) is for sale here... L/L Research Store And here is my favourite excerpt from the book recommended on page 109... "The faculty of true consciousness sleeps, like folklore's Snow White, in our hearts until we awaken it with the kiss of our seeking to find it." This personally inspiring metaphorical gem pertains to the activation of our green energy centre which can also be termed "unity consciousness". Ra term this state of awareness as "the spring board" to activating our higher energy centres. Love & Light, Nick. RE: What is work in consciousness? - eric4 - 03-09-2015 Thanks to everyone who has replied so far. I resonated particularly with what you just said, Nicholas, since I believe the Ra/Q'uo material is trying to draw some kind of distinction between 'lower ray work' and 'work in consciousness'. I think that, for example, balancing an anger you might feel towards your mother -- thats lower ray. Tuning into the indigo center and bringing in a flood of white light, or however you would conceptualize/visualize a similar practice -- that would be work in consciousness. Its useful for me to try to make the distinction between these, since at several places what Ra/Q'uo appear to be saying is: "Dont do work in consciousness when your lower rays aren't in order, or you'll get spun out and strung out like a metaphysical junkie." And I think thats true, so I'm trying to take the advice to heart. Thanks again everyone. I would like to point out in your quote from Q'uo here both times it refers to work in consciousness it includes qualifying references - "work in consciousness in the higher energy centers" and "high intensity, high energy work in consciousness". In both of these instances they seem to imply that when working on the higher energy centers, work must have already been done upon the lower energy centers in order to make sure the higher energy centers can stabilize properly. Thus, I believe that doing lower ray work is still work in consciousness and it is foundation and 'pre-requisite' to the "high intensity, high energy work in consciousness". I believe they are suggesting that work in consciousness is somewhat hierarchical or like architecture in that work of each energy center is built upon the work of previous centers. Work in the higher centers, of course, would include such practices as meditation, contemplation, prayer and the like as was mentioned. RE: What is work in consciousness? - eric4 - 03-09-2015 Thanks AngelofDeath, that makes sense. In the link which Nicholas posted above there are lots of references to 'work in consciousness'. It sounds like Carla is viewing that work as more indigo-ray type meditations and stuff. OK, now I have some good ideas and research materials. Gracias everyone! |
