Close relationships and their meaning - Ashim - 03-15-2010 Imagine a Family Tree. Truck, stems, branches, leaves and all. picture yourself as a 'node' on this organic and evolving Being. Who are your closest Relations? What is your Family? To whom do you have the most intimate of Relationships? Where is the bias between these family connections? What are the lessons to be learnt? Can you see yourself in the mirror that Life offers you? Love & Light RE: Close relationships and their meaning - Plenum - 03-26-2012 I've had issues with my one and only sister most of my life. These seem to have been resolved in recent times. methinks there is some karma from previous incarnations playing out. We are at least friendly now, when for a while, we would perpetually snipe at each other with one-liners. - - me and my brother get along awesome. He has always been an inspiration for me; even though younger, he understood compassion to the core. I have learnt much from him indeed. Amazing green ray looking back on our childhood (and our family grew up in very poor circumstances, economically and socially speaking). - - always respected my parents for doing the best they could. They are outstanding individuals in my eyes. They say you choose your parents and not the other way round; I'm glad I chose mine RE: Close relationships and their meaning - 3DMonkey - 03-26-2012 yeah, I don't think I had a choice, but I like who I am RE: Close relationships and their meaning - Ashim - 03-26-2012 (03-26-2012, 08:22 PM)3DMonkey Wrote: yeah, I don't think I had a choice, but I like who I am Your comment reminded me of this quote. “......people would like to think that there’s somebody up there who knows what he’s doing. Since we don’t participate, we don’t control and we don’t even think of the questions of vital importance. We hope somebody is paying attention who has some competence. lets’s hope the ship has a capitain, in other words, since we are not taking part in what’s going on...... It is an important feature of the idealogical system to impose on people the feeling that they really are incompetent to deal with these complex and important issues: they’s better leave it to the capitain. One device is to develop a star system, an array of figures who are often media creations or creations of the academic propoganda establishment, whose deep insights we are supposed to admire and to whom we must happily and confidently assign the right to control our lives and to control international affairs.......” Noam Chomsky The Chomsky Reader |
