That is so awesome Jade thank you !! Although I have to say I think sometimes I am still at that awkward stage RE: My 2D homies - Jade - 06-02-2019 (08-12-2015, 12:08 PM)Bring4th_Jade Wrote:Hey everyone! Bumping this thread because, while the little pigeon (Norma) is doing great, my sweet little angel Butters here is having a rough time. His eyes have taken a turn and he's having terrible allergies, and this has led him into a depression, which makes it hard for him to eat, which kind of snowballs onto itself. He is 12 years old, so it's possible he may be nearing the end of his incarnation, but he could just be going through a rough patch. Either way, if anyone has any prayers to spare for him, we would all appreciate it so much. He's my special little guy and I'm sure he'd love to go camping again soon. I love him so much and it's hard to watch him suffer. RE: My 2D homies - flofrog - 06-02-2019 Oh Jade many many thoughts honey ![]() RE: My 2D homies - ada - 06-03-2019 Awh little pupper, I wish him well. RE: My 2D homies - Jade - 06-03-2019 Thanks everyone. Butters already seems better today, though it's been a bit of an up and down for the past couple weeks. But, we fed him some baby parrot food with a syringe last night (which he enjoyed) so we gave him some more this morning and, he also ate a piece of vegan lunch meat on his own this morning too, which means he was able to get his allergy pill in him. He's a lot more responsive today than he was yesterday, and we did a pretty intense healing on him last night, too. Kile said he got confirmation from him that he wants to stay in this incarnation so we are going to keep praying and loving! RE: My 2D homies - Diana - 08-17-2019 I hung out with this owlet last night at Javie Hollow (a tiny pond in my backyard). It was a bit challenging holding a flashlight and my phone to get the photo. But the owlet just let me photograph it while it drank water and flew up into the tree that overhangs the pond. ![]() This is Shorty (because he had lost his tail when I first knew him), a lizard I've known for several years. He hangs out on my patio in the summer. Every year his markings get more beautiful. It doesn't show well here but he has shades of viridian in places and the yellowish scales are actually really bright yellow. Here he is resting after his favorite snack—watermelon. When I open the door sometimes he runs to me so fast for the watermelon he has to skid to a stop. ![]() ![]() RE: My 2D homies - Diana - 12-09-2021 I finally found this old video from a few years back. It's a newborn javelina running around and vocalizing. She isn't hurt or anything, just following the other babies and looking for the mother or something. She found her way back to the mother and nursed again. It's hilarious and adorable. The newborn javies get up and walk around right away. You can see a part of the umbilical cord still there. I have seen many generations of javelina; they give birth twice per year. The first time I saw newborns my heart just swelled—they look like little stuffed animals. Unfortunately due to hunters the herd I knew just dwindled and I haven't seen any in a year or two, though I think a couple have come by in the night to drink from the pond. On a phone, scroll down past the scorpion video to see the javelina video: http://dianafeathers.com/amazing-animals/ RE: My 2D homies - IndigoSalvia - 12-09-2021 The cutest little baby. Mom must feel pretty safe with you to bring her babies so close. So sweet. RE: My 2D homies - Diana - 07-04-2022 There is a new batch of polliwogs in my little pond. I have nurtured countless batches of these cute little guys for many years. They like to gather around my hand and try to feed. But I feed them spinach so they never go hungry. ![]() Here is a link to see a video of them: Me and my Woggers |
