Here's the explanation I promised:
Please ignore this if this does not help you with your spiritual developments, or if it does not help you progress
My higher self is in charge of two devices I explained earlier, the space and time generator. it weaves a kind of mesh or some kind of fabric in which each intersection contains a space which (something smaller than an atom) can rest on, and time pulses through this mesh.
It uses parts of itself to create this mesh and uses parts of itself to power the two devices. The two devices from nothing create an illusion which, it observes and learns from it. The first thing it did was simulate expansion by producing huge amounts of mesh and later on, time pulses through the mesh.
First came the expansion, where the mesh increases the "space" which light can then move and time, which allows light to move from one intersection to another intersection. Expansion came in Fibonacci sequence, but slightly different manner.
The next thing it learned was implementing a "gravity well" which would suck the particles into a small space and then it caused the particles to "light-up" or started a chain reaction which caused the space around it to rotate by itself and then sucks into the gravity well and then for some reason, it goes into "hibernation mode". The gravity-well starts to move things inside it, but it is not perfect, but it spews out lots of things as a side-effect. This spew then seeds the initial stars and star-formation. This gravity-well has a well-known name called the "black hole"
The next thing it learned of out amusement or free-will, was this gravity-well suddenly created lots of twinkles or shining things around this gravity well. So it went and play around with several gravity wells and experimenting with it.
Bit later on, it found fascination in the twinkles or stars that was created. It went and tend to those stars, and look after each one of them.
Bit later on, it created for itself some kind of "scripting" kit with which it could animate things inside the illusion. The script was in chemical form, there is the "decoder" + "script" which would be in English, called the "RNA" and proteins.
My higher self started to amuse itself creating small bits and pieces of RNA and then watching it divide itself and multiply and do all sorts of preplanned things.
Bit later on, it started to get serious and create lengthy scripts and started to think about energy transfer, how this small "cell" would move around or grow.
Some time later, it found out most of these scripts needed some kind of not-so-hot and not-so-cold conditions to survive and observing the stars, decided to form a huge lump to contain these scripts.
The first problem was balancing the distance between the star and the lump so it would receive ample sunlight and darkness, gravity balancing so things on it do not go and float off, and so on.
My higher self then created some non-moving scripts, better known as plants, and scripts that could move around, called "animals". scripts that move under-water, better known as fishes and scripts that move on air, called "birds".
It was pretty fun to have a bird's eye view and "soar like the eagles" or swim in the depths of the seas, or go around walking like a chicken, or watch the plants grow, watching the sun-set and sun-rise.
One of the biggest and most complex script was a two hands, two legs and one thinking mind script. The script was divided into one-pair divided by gender.
Higher-self did one thing different. For some reason, it allowed it think for itself. not sure why and left this big-ape by itself and watched what it did. So the big-ape learned about the surroundings, learned about eating and drinking, learned about how to make tools, how to make for itself something to protect itself from the weather, it learned it was naked, it learned it needed shelter, it learned companionship and learned many.
Higher-self learned to that these beings, equipped with wings could do "maintenance" and boring things it used to do, and then later delegated these beings to do tasks inside the illusion.
Some time later, higher-self detected an unwanted guest which came into this illusion and then started to teach the ape-beings about knowledge, both good and evil, and for some reason, stayed in the illusion to teach all the knowledge to the ape-beings.
Higher-self confronted this unwanted guest, maybe, making some mistake, tried to get rid of it, but failed, and then isolated it to the location where the ape-being was.
Then it started a cat and mouse game with which my higher self had to create an image of itself in the like of the apes, and come down, then teach them the ways upon how to love others, how to live justly and honestly. Higher self sent itself among the people to teach itself acceptable ways.
The unwanted guest, whose logo is "on V and overlapped n symbol, with a "G" on it" (looks familiar?). Then it started to change the original texts written and the pollute it with other texts instead.
The unwanted guest then started ridiculous things, like religion and banking (money does not exist and it's always interest to pay) the higher-self sought to rid religion and banking through the masses.
It came so much a cat and mouse game that higher-self sought the end-game instead: harvest on that planet. Then the rules totally changed. Higher-self became focused on increasing polarization, trying to save as many of the ape-people as possible, bring in reinforcements, and try to get as many people to go towards service to others.
The unwanted guest started to focus too, power towards an elite few, some of them manage to hit 99% service to self (pretty amazing!)
At the striking of the hour, the higher-self started the harvest, collecting the souls of the ape-beings who could be harvested and later, those who were there and then collecting the souls of the animals, plants and so on.
Of those 15 souls who made it, 5 went for further purification and merged with higher-self, making the experiences of the 5 available towards higher-self. the 10 went towards greater purification but still in the illusion. The rest of them repeated their life-cycle, but in different manner.
Some time later, higher-self decided to switch-off the life-support systems and that star supernova, killing everything on that planet. After much time, it decided to end the illusion and roll-back the mesh and later stopped the two devices.
This is the sad story I have to tell. Questions?

Carrie thanks for sharing this. I understand your position and can assist if you so wish.
I can not and will not tell you who you are. This you must figure out for yourself. My guess is that you have already done that.
This knowledge is known by my social memory complex. It's mid 6th density. I will not talk about your 'machine' as there are a few lurkers on the forum just waiting for 'snippets' to be dropped.
I have received considerable email from the STS faction wanting to know all about this stuff.
I almost spilled the beans trying to be a smart arse and almost got caught out. There are a lot of these, mostly 4th density 'troublemakers' in the inner planes helping some wanderers.
There is a LOT of STS stuff out there waiting to catch their prey. I know we don't discuss them here but there should be awareness of this crowd.
Back to your story - Some people remember their 'past lives' and others of higher density their previous Creations. Nothing unusual about your story Carrie. It is indeed sad. At some stage this inherent sadness of imperfect Creations makes one think about alternatives. After some time at this stage of the process you gain wisdom. This is pre programmed to happen. As you realise 'again' that we are all one, you understand and embrace the concept of Unity. This you are familiar with.
Once the critical spiritual mass is reached you can only continue to exist with identity if you become Light.
Sure you can get pretty close to perfect black but there will always be some reflection. That's the scientific answer I can give you.
The alternative is dissolution back to source.

if I had the chance, I would ask Ra more about the Confederation and it's members; which ones have interacted with Earth, where Yahweh is now, the NAMES of social memory complexes and their various talents; etc etc. Sort of like a galactic spiritual atlas.

For lack of a better question..., something that I find very interesting is the transgender phenomena. What are the metaphysics behind one who is transgender?
Other things I would love to get into are the archetypes of body and spirit. Unfortunately the contact ended after the archetypes of mind. But that's okay and actually perfect because Ra gave us the teachings for the mind. We can apply those teachings to body and spirit and learn by ourselves. It's a lot more difficult work, but we can do it by ourselves with what Ra has already given.

Is the answer simply unsatisfying as that there infinite variations on the level of catalyst vs. speed of learning, and we just happen to be in one that feels to be a higher catalyst/faster learning?
Is "There was little enough tendency for experience to polarize entities that entities repeated habitually the third-density cycles many times over" so bad? Why not respect the free will of entities that wish to progress slowly in a 'divinely happy' state?

That's the problem though; they did not have free will. They knew of their true identity and that all is One; the Creator. Because all was known there was little motivation to move beyond the state of divine happiness and joy. Ra said existence was monochrome before the veil.
Mind/body/spirit's became "complex" with the addition of the veil. The addition of the veil is the extending of free will to mind/body/spirit's thereby making them mind/body/spirit complexes.
Now that 3D entities have free will, we may choose how fast we wish to accelerate our spiritual growth. It is a problem that entities do NOT make their choice of polarity though. Repeating third density habitually means that one is not doing the work. One is not making consistent choices to polarize in any one direction. The purpose of incarnation is the evolution of mind body spirit complex.
Because entities were unmotivated to polarize the veil was introduced. This also creates a vastly richer experience because now the STS polarity can be chosen and explored. Remember that the Creator is knowing itself. This is why we have been flung out from the center of the Creator to experience the densities and make our way back the Unity/Infinity with a completely unique harvest of experience and learning.
This is all in the Law of One material, I'm just restating it.
