So would you say the first half was easier done than the second half?

By far. There's a heavy cabinet with books we'll have to move for the 2nd 1/2. Plus laying the tiles.
I don't have the funds to get a company to do it for us, else I would.

How easy was it for you to say yes to do the first half?

It took a little effort. It was additional work that I didn't want to do. And we had a measly little blade to cut it with so it was challenging. I have a much better cutting tool now.

The hardest is getting the carpet away from the edge of the room. It's usually nailed down, and quite difficult to lift up.

Doing the first half just leaves the rest to do. I was fine with the carpet the way it was before it was touched, but my mom wants tile. She was the one that started the project. I just helped out.
