RE: Poetry - oguz - 07-17-2012

dear people,
i'd like to share a poem with ya. I've translated it from my native tongue.

hope you 'll like it

Wealth

Do you know what is wealth supposed to be?

Wealth is being able to eat flaky in the morning.
Wealth;
is being able to climb stairs without help.
Looking through the window, being able to see pedestrians that go by.
Being able to close down your own door each evening.
That your hair be being caressed.
That the watch on your arm be pointing out the future.
Being able to make plans for the coming week.
Being able to bide for better days.
Sometimes one plate of pasta.
Sometimes 2 tomatoes and 1 new bread.
Being able to believe oneself.
Wealth is everything that you can be happy for its existence.
And the poverty is…
Acknowledging once,
Then understanding its absence...!

Passing the veil
to pass or to fail
better thy self
as the
holy grail

I am the God head
33 stars shine brightly
above my head
as many shine over you
but only as many
as you allow to

dont think to hard
just sit in that place
where rythm slows down
to an even pace
and selfish thoughts
with love are replaced
thats whereyou reach
that sacred place

images notions
equations and such
your whole self bombarded
your old self discarded
the spirit of love
like a new born
your harvest

you know without doubting
the messages have come
from heaven above
or wherever you feel
The one holy spirit
of God lives as real

deep in your soul
an angel has sealed
a higher vibration
of love is revealed.

energy we are
and energy is light
and light travels faster
the more we shine bright

a prophet a fool
with new eyes
has sight

the father the son
and the holy spirit
unite

Heart

from baby steps to challenging climbs
2012's the year for bridging paradigms

shifting from banks to a cashless society
where money no longer creates anxiety

lawns become gardens...an abundance of food
music circles on each corner to elevate the mood

angel walks form to remind us earth is heaven
lovin' you goddess sisters and galactic brethren

RE: Poetry - alchemikey - 07-22-2012

Heart

seemingly empty but actually full
silence is enough...division makes it dull
reborn in this moment...again and again
if not now...then when i ask, "when?"

i feel right at home...plunging deep below
the circus surface tires me...from the roots i grow
invigorating joy of play...the child comes alive
dancing symbiotically...i welcome the dive

into the great mystery...my heart's allowed to feel
creating vibes of gratitude...holding space to heal
give me all your misery...transform it to perfume
i only want to love you...i wish to see you bloom

if there's nothing but beauty...why do i compare?
every time i judge...instead of mend i tear
the connection to my higher self...i hope i can repair
still learning to say no...when others' seek to share

peace,
mikey

Out of the Mouths of a Thousand Birds - haqiqu - 07-23-2012

Out of the Mouths of a Thousand Birds

Listen -
Listen more carefully to what is around you
Right now.

In my world
There are the bells from the clanks
Of the morning milk drums,

And a wagon wheel outside my window
Just hit a bump

Which turned into an ecstatic chorus
Of the Beloved's Name.

There is the Prayer Call
Rising up like the sun
Out of the mouths of a thousand birds.

There is an astonishing vastness
Of movement and Life

Emanating sound and light
From my folded hands

And my even quieter simple being and heart.

My dear,
Is it true that your mind
Is sometimes like a battering
Ram

Running all through the city,
Shouting so madly inside and out

About the ten thousand things
That do not matter?

Hafiz, too,
For many years beat his head in youth

And thought himself at a great distance,
Far from an armistice
With God.

But that is why this scarred old pilgrim
Has now become such a sweet rare vintage
Who weeps and sings for you.

O listen -
Listen more carefully
To what is inside of you right now.

In my world
All that remains is the wondrous call to
Dance and prayer

Rising up like a thousand suns
Out of the mouth of a
Single bird.

~ Hafiz ~

lovely sister Heart

angel talk

there is a tongue spoken in realms on high

it is made solely of light and love

lakish-maree, is the way we would speak its name

lakish-maree, always changing , never the same

colors and joy enter this mortal man

when lakish-maree takes us by its blessed hand

the surprise that comes to this earth

is that we are preparing for a new and unexpected birth

a new earth is about to be born , shining and bright

filled with justice, truth, honor and light.

only those can live there who love lakish-maree

this is gods decision and its quite all right with me

How I feel sometimes, in the world...

The Invisible Man

Crowds walking by, below the dark window
Stained, matted with pain, constant aches;
The Lifeless drip of acid rain lives on my sill—
Far above the concrete row of floating eyes.

They see me beyond soot-grey, unclean, unwashed
Through a window clear, yet my view untended,
Angle unchanged, hidden behind the dark glass still—
This caked, rough patch of grit-laden brown earth.

And so they look but cannot truly see the man
Behind the pane, who lurks shadowlike
Inside his own mind, walls oil slick black—
A dark cage that binds the invisible man.

Creationism

Of All that is, and all that is not
All that is sought, and all that's thought
The opposites that forever fought
Are mixed together, in this melting pot

Of all there is, there is only one
Not unlike the author, the spirit, the sun
Though we may say he has only one
We can all tabernacle with the chosen one

First there was everything, infinity, ubiquity
It reached far like the vastness of space
Till it had an epiphany
In every place, in haste we call it all
But, there is much more to enthrall

It split itself into equal parts
Making sure each one had it's heart
And said to the pieces it cast out
Know, love, create, learn
When the time comes u shall return
Some go fast, some go slow
From your wanderings, I shall know
Though in this game you might forget
This is never something you shall regret
I am you, your father, yourself, your health
The true potential, filled with wealth

Like the universe, the stars and space
By the holy one, similar in grace
I was made by a just creator
Way back in time, it's name was mother
She fought for me, she raised me up
She sent me out, to know my father
To experience, to wade in the water
With the world at my palms
And the sun at my arms
I am my own creation, truly myself
Building my fortunes, honing my talents
Till it's time to rest, on the lords sabbath

One day, I shall create my own
Universe, not music or a poem
But a child it is that I will make,
To be sent out, to create it's own tone
And when it is grown, and remembers
The lord it was once shown
I will love them dearly
Till the next beginnings woes
Forever in my heart
Yet far like a rivers flows
This I know, lord knows

I really like your poem , i think you have a real gift and i love to experience people utilizing their talents, honest outpouring of creativity is a sign of a wise soul, especially when the joy is found in inspiring sparks in others,, its like getting more out of giving presents at christmas than recieving, its a special thing to help put a smile on another souls face,,material things are not paramount, a happy loving soul is,

All The Hemispheres - haqiqu - 07-27-2012

In memory of Sally Ride,
who got to see that the world is One.

All The Hemispheres

Leave the familiar for a while.
Let your senses and bodies stretch out

Like a welcomed season
Onto the meadows and shores and hills.

Open up to the Roof.
Make a new water-mark on your excitement
And love.

Like a blooming night flower,
Bestow your vital fragrance of happiness
And giving
Upon our intimate assembly.

Change rooms in your mind for a day.

All the hemispheres in existence
Lie beside an equator
In your heart.

Greet Yourself
In your thousand other forms
As you mount the hidden tide and travel
Back home.

All the hemispheres in heaven
Are sitting around a fire
Chatting

While stitching themselves together
Into the Great Circle inside of
You.

Thanks for the responses guys. It's great to know that it touched some of you, that's one of the reasons I like sharing my "stuff".

Here's a first draft of a song made for a friend which is in a similar vein. I hope you guys like it.

Light

Wake and say my mornings grace
May your image fill this place
Place my face upon her breast
The warmth of her chest puts me to rest
The face of all is what I seek
No limits I see you to your peaks
Searching about day and night
For that thing we call light

[Chorus]

love and light may seem different to he
The lords kingdom may seem far to she
But, if death only comes in threes
Then there may be something coming
For you and me

[Verse 2]
We’re gonna fly away, clear past the everglades
Toll away till we’ve collapsed in the shade
Hold one another till we begin to fade
Till love replace hate, till god retrace fate
I’ll cherish the moment, this day, this second
I reckon, this is what light feels like
The thing which illuminates the heavens at night
The substance which causes life to ignite.

[Chorus]

[Verse 3]

Out with the old, in with the new
Out of the mold, into a new hue
Walking the steps and greeting those I once knew
My being aches and shakes from contact with you
Your essence, your presence, your evanescence, your resurrections
I was seeded into the dark to feel your spark
An arc of sorts around you fills me to new heights
Thank you creator, my maker, for sight
To perceive your manifestations;
of might, of light.

Listen

One night, I dreamed a dream.

I met with a friend I had never seen.

He was a friend indeed, of love, of light.

Who’s radiance was such, it shined that night.

He said to me,

“Listen, my friend. Take heed, indeed.

The time is now, you soon shall see.

Belief in the lord is all you need.

Believe in the One, and you shall see.”

I already do, I said, what’s more to life?

I feel pain, I feel hate, I feel strife.

To be released, I need more than belief.

My life is just simply shame and grief.

“Yes my friend, I do feel your pain.

Your shame, your pain, disdain, the rain.

Yet, I feel the love coursing through your veins.

Thus, here are the tools you need, to go against the grain.

Listen to yourself, for it begins within.

Hear the way your voice moves through your chin.

Attend to the pain coming from within.

Balance your sins, and the door will open.

Listen to the scenery laying around you.

See the divinity in the mundane of the window pane.

See the beauty of the bee’s melodies.

Feel the comfort in natures canopy.

Last but not least, turn to those with whom you feast.

Those that walk and talk, like you and me.

Spread the golden rule wherever you be.

See the beauty in those that hate thee.

They are your brothers, your sisters, your breath.

Those whispers of self, sitting upon the shelf.

Forsake the father if you must.

The choice is yours, this much is true.

He will be waiting in trust, of the love given to you.

He will hear your distant cries, mend your aching wounds.

Follow you till death, and meet you at the tomb.

For when you are in pain, the One also bleeds.

All you must do to hear is to take heed.

So listen my friend.

Listen, indeed.”

Took a lot to be honest with myself and write this.....

I Want it all

Hi.

How are you?

I know how this sounds, but I think I want you.

I want you when you want me too.

I want you when you’re feeling blue.

I want you when your feeling great.

I want you when your running late.

I want you when you’re feeling rude.

I want you when you’re in the nude.

I want you when you’re under the covers,

even when we’re all out of rubbers.

I want your breast against my chest.

I want your ass against my waist.

I want your nectar from your waist.

To reach down, and get a taste.

I want your beauty at its best.

I want to see what’s in store next.

I want to see you sprout and grow.

I want to see you when your unseen.

I want to see your eyelids gleam.

I want your love to have and to hold.

I want you, till I’m grey and old.

I want to lay between your arms,

and know that I have done no wrong.

Okay, maybe I got a little ahead of myself.

But this much is true.

I want you,

and I know you want me, too.

I like to think of welcoming light into my being; it's a new grounding technique (well, new to my practice) that I'm using Smile

Soul to Soul

From the bending beam of Dawn
And stretching from the landscape
Over the green valley of my heart,

Sneaks through my window a voice,
Aching to find a home;
And shone my eye pierced a light,

A whisper from soul to soul.

when you take a leap into mid-air
and you find out that angels are everywhere
supporting, comforting and blanketing your fall
your guidance is at your beck and call

all you have to do is ask for help
you can do it with a whisper...you can do it with a yelp
but when you do be ready for an answer
it may come through a stranger or a song or a dancer

the universe plays in mysterious ways
the reply may be immediate or take a couple days
so be aware...pay attention...keep an out for clues
the response may even come when watching the news

i know you may be frightened but i urge you to jump
i promise your protected...you won't even get a bump
spread your arms and believe that you can fly
the worst thing that can happen is that you never try

In Our Souls - haqiqu - 08-18-2012

In Our Souls

In our souls everything
moves guided by a mysterious hand.
We know nothing of our own souls
that are ununderstandable and say nothing.

The deepest words
of the wise man teach us
the same as the whistle of the wind when it blows
or the sound of the water when it is flowing.

Prophets of a Future Not Our Own - haqiqu - 08-28-2012

Prophets of a Future Not Our Own

This is what we are about:
We plant seeds that one day will grow.
We water seeds already planted, knowing that they hold future promise.
We lay foundations that will need further development.
We provide yeast that produces effects beyond our capabilities.
We cannot do everything
and there is a sense of liberation in realizing that.
This enables us to do something,
and to do it very well.
It may be incomplete, but it is a beginning, a step along the way,
an opportunity for God's grace to enter and do the rest.
We may never see the end results,
but that is the difference between the master builder and the worker.
We are workers, not master builders,
ministers, not messiahs.
We are prophets of a future not our own.

Out of God's Hat - haqiqu - 08-29-2012

OUT OF GOD'S HAT

The stars poured into the sky
Out of a Magician's hat last night,
And all of them have fallen into my hair.
Some have even tangled my eyelashes
Into luminous, playful knots.

Wayfarer,
You are welcome to cut a radiant tress
That lays upon my shoulders.
Wrap it around your trembling heart and body
That craves divine comfort and warmth.
I am like a pitcher of milk
In the hands of a mother who loves you.

All of my contents now
Have been churned into dancing suns and moons.

Lean your sweet neck and mouth
Out of that dark nest where you hide,
I will pour effulgence into your mind.

Come spring
You can find me rolling in the fields
They are exploding in
Holy battles

Of scents, of sounds - everything is
A brilliant colored nova on a stem.

Forest animals hear me laughing
And surrender their deepest instincts and fears,

They come charging into meadows
To lick my hands and face,

This makes me so happy,
I become so happy

That my rising wink turns into a magic baton.
When my soft-eyed creatures see that wonderful signal
We all burst into singing

And make strange and primal beautiful sounds!

My only regret in this world then becomes:

That your shyness keeps you from placing
Your starving body against God

And seeing the Beloved become so pleased
With your courage

That his belly begins to rock and rock,
Then more planets get to leap
Onto the welcome mat of existence
All because
Of your previous love.

The Friend has turned my verse into sacred pollen.
When a breeze comes by

Falcons and butterflies
And playful gangs of young angels
Mounted on emerald spears

Take flight from me like a great sandstorm
That can blind you to all but the Truth!

Dear one
Even if you have no net to catch Venus
My music will circle this earth for hundreds of years
And fall like resplendent debris,
Holy seed, onto a fertile woman.

For Hafiz
Wants to help you laugh at your every
Desire.

Hafiz
Wants you to know

Your life within God's arms,
Your dance within God's
Arms

Is already

Perfect!

"lord let me remember how it was
when i nudged my skin
against the touch of each new morning
and bounded through
the thick-thought forests
that stretched between dawn and noon,
when like magic my lunch was put before me.
lord let me remember how it was
when i was so new
that i thought i was part of the morning

i didn't want to sleep
for fear the world would disappear
but new days kept coming and coming.
the old ones slipped away one by one,
but were always replenished

lord let me remember how it was
when i nuzzled the air in the morning
and thought i could wiggle a distant leaf
just as i moved my own ears and toes.
i thought that i caused rain to fall
just as the tears from my own eyes
wet my cheeks.
and that my thoughts turned into clouds
that circled the top of my head"

come off your mountain sage
enter onto the playful stage

the world needs participation
not buddhas in renunciation

there is no exclusion to what is divine
the shadow must be faced in order to shine

the fountain of loving light in constant flow
trusting you'll be guided wherever to go

a shaman doesn't think...a shaman knows
giving attention is how everything grows

the power one wields when they choose to bless
can you remember a time now didn't say "yes"?

to judge is to believe that your being isn't free
what do you really want for all of humanity?

can you fully embody the truth that you seek?
a heart that is strong and a mind that is meek

Sonnet for September - haqiqu - 09-15-2012

Sonnet for September

At 63 I've started to compost
In La Plaza, a park I helped to save
Starting in 1987 and
Succeeding in 2002. Some things
Take time like a poem you want to write
Or onion skins and carrot peels rotting
To loam. A lot gets done in the dark out
Of sight. The evidence tells us not to
Give up. You have to remember it's not
Always fun. Sit down and do it and it
Will get done. From my window you could see
The World Trade Center till 9/11.
Another building rises there making
Its appearance. My friends, the ends begin.
